Prepare for Munzdalorian galactic revelries all month long – make sure you’re up to speed when the Double Point Weekends and Special Themed Scatter Events blast into hyperspace! Special Themed Scatter Events

When you cap the Munzdalorian Mailbox on certain days, up to 10 themed scatters will be deployed nearby. They expire 120 hours after they are deployed, to hopefully give you enough time to capture them all! While we’ll reveal the dates to help you plan, we’ll keep what will be scattering for the following four events a surprise until then:

April 2024 Glass Guardian🐉🌊

April has rolled in like a wave, and we’re all geared up to help you reel in the NEW Glass Guardian! If you completed your March capture streak, prepare to receive the Magical Glass Guardian Skin (and corresponding badge) in early April. But what’s lurking in the depths this month will make a splash in your Glass Guardian collection! Read on to learn more.

March Glass Guardian Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a base Glass Guardian yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $10.

How to have a permanent Guardian on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 Guardians by the end of the year.
    • Each month, the price of a Guardian will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 Guardian every 28 days.

April Glass Guardian Details

What Glass Guardian awaits in April? The Serpent Glass Guardian, a titan of the seven seas as ferocious as its Hydra inspiration, tread carefully. The Serpent Glass Guardian is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as the players with permanent Glass Guardians continue to use it.

Munzee Madness is back, and this time it’s hitting Buena Park, CA on March 8th and 9th. Be sure to RSVP; we’re expecting to hit MEGA status, so whether you’re a seasoned Munzee enthusiast or just dipping your toes into the game, there’s something for everyone. Rumor has it that the royal identity of this charming amphibian has spread far and wide, drawing the attention of countless princesses eager to break his spell. The latest Player Owned Bouncer (POB) of Munzee whimsy and wonder will be available for $20, but get yours today before the princesses run him out of the store on Thursday, March 7th at 12:00 MHQ – the competition will be ribbiting!

NEW Frog Prince Details

Like the other Mythological Munzees, the Frog Prince is a permanent POB. It is the 7th of a NEW Storyland line of Myths, so expect to see more creative creatures in the future!

Landing Pads

You can find these royal amphibians leaping to the landing pads above every 12 hours or when captured.

The Frog Prince will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a the Frog Prince on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Frog Prince visits you. Frog Princes are non-blastable. They will be attracted to Magnets. You can access them by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When a Frog Prince is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Dragonfireflies.

These scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Frog Prince owner’s account. This means that, unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet.  Since they are passive deploys, these scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity.

Event Spotlight: Munzee Mecca 2024

Even though you can play Munzee solo, the world of Munzee isn’t just about individual play; it’s about the thrill of connecting with fellow Munzee enthusiasts! Picture this: Munzee Events, where the air is exciting as veterans mingle with newcomers in a safe and welcoming setting. And hey, there’s more than just swapping stories –activities, games, and, if you’re lucky, snagging a sweet goodie bag! But let’s not kid ourselves; pulling off these shindigs takes some serious elbow grease. That’s why we’re shining the spotlight on past events! Get ready to be inspired to throw your bash if you’re a newbie or inject some fresh mojo into your gatherings if you’re a seasoned host.

Today, we’re featuring the Munzee Mecca Events, which took place over the weekend at various locations in Orlando, FL, USA. The weekend was full of events put together by a number of hosts, but for this Spotlight we chatted with host Linda Gartley, AKA CoalCracker7!

Please give us a summary of your event.

There were five events held over four days. The Thursday night event was a pre-meet and greet at the edge of a lake. I passed out the ten stops for the Tour of the Town Badge. Friday night was held at the Stained Glass House. We had a special badge for capping specific physicals. The main event was on Saturday. The event was held in a multi-use park with Roller Hockey, Splash Pad, Dog Park, Skate Park, Pickleball, and Soccer fields. We had Walking Tacos and Walking Nanner pudding (Banana Pudding) along with a drawing for a Premium Membership. 

We also played a version of Name That Tune. Clues were also given at each event to find one hidden personal tag. The Space Coast Geo Store was set up for everybody to buy Munzee-related items (i.e., lots of blasts). The Saturday Night Event was held at an Adventure Park with Water Skiing and Football and Soccer Fields. Saturday’s events also provided the opportunity to earn two additional badges for capping specific physicals on Saturday. The last event was on Sunday at the Wave Hotel Sculpture Garden. We provided donuts and coffee before everyone left for the day to go home. The Friday night, Saturday Main, Saturday Night, and Sunday morning events went mega.

What made your event unique?

We had visitors from Europe and all around the U.S. We also hosted special visitors, CoachV, SeeMyShell, and a Geocaching Vlogger. We had a total of five events over four days, with many new gardens to capture.

I believe that a good host should have lots of munzees available to capture, new gardens, and a variety of badges.
