Friday The 13th Clowns!

Prepare for an emotional roller coaster on Friday the 13th! Don’t be too frightened by the Scary Clown and turn that frown upside down for the Sad Clown. These two new Clown Scatter Specials have been released into the wild!

Starting now when you capture a bouncing Clown Car special, there is a chance any assortment of clowns will scatter within 1 mile for two hours. These include the five previously released as well as the two new clowns. All of these specials will last until July 31 at 23:59.

Be sure to capture one of each of the seven clowns to earn a badge!

  • Harlequin Clown
  • Tramp Clown
  • Mime
  • Scary Clown
  • Sad Clown

Clown Car specials will be attracted to Munzee Magnets so be sure to stock up on those in the Freeze Tag Online Store.

You CAN capture these specials on your own greenies and these will count toward the Specials Hunter badges as well.

Florida Historic Location Munzees!

UPDATE: The FL Historic Location Munzees will hit the map at 00:01 MHQ Thursday 7/12. 

At last year’s MHQ Bash we announced the release of a new munzee type deployed at Texas historical markers across the state we call home. We’re proud to announce that we have expanded that line to the sunny state of Florida! We have a great community of Munzee players throughout the state and it has become a hotspot for travelers looking to cap a bunch of munzees.

The FL Historical Location Munzees are deployed by an MHQ account throughout the state based on a database of historical markers. When captured players will earn between 18 and 45 points. These virtual munzees are not blastable, so you’ll have to get out and learn a bit more about the sunshine state! If you notice any are deployed in the completely wrong place please contact support with the name/URL of the munzee and correct information.

You’ll be able to earn a new set of five badges for capturing FL Historical Location Munzees. We have also added two more badges for capturing TX Historical Location Munzees as well so be sure to cap some if you’re joining us in TX for our Birthday Bash!

We hope to continue to expand this line of munzees into more states and different countries as well in the coming months!

Two New Clown Scatter Specials!

Send in the clowns! These birthday specials are the gift that keeps on giving. Two new Clown Scatter Specials have been released into the wild!

Starting now when you capture a bouncing Clown Car special, there is a chance any assortment of clowns will scatter within 1 mile for two hours. These include the three previously released (Party Clown, Rodeo Clown, and Harlequin Clown) as well as the two new clowns: the Mime and the Tramp. All of these specials will last until July 31 at 23:59.

These are printed on aluminum dog tags, and are available now for $10 each. Remember that there is a very limited quantity of these personals, so you can only purchase one of each design per account.

Clown Car Birthday Specials

Welcome to Cirque Du Munz! Our Circus themed seventh birthday celebration is about to get a bit sillier. We’re happy to announce that Clown Car birthday specials will be rolling into a town near you!

Starting on July 6 at 00:01 MHQ 2,011 bouncing Clown Car icons will hit the map.  These colorful coupes will bounce on greenies every 6 hours or when capped. What’s a clown car without clowns though? Once a Clown Car special is captured, between one and three different clown icons will scatter on greenies within 1 mile for two hours. Since this is Munzee’s Birthday month all of these specials will last until July 31 at 23:59.

There just might be a badge or two for capturing Clown Car specials and the different Clown scatters. Since these will be on the map for the remainder of the month you might want to capture as many as you can. You never know what you might earn!
