Christmas Cracker Greeting Cards

Not to be confused with the Christmas Cracker specials we released earlier in the week! While those crackers have fun items to collect, we also wanted to introduce a more “cracker-y” experience into the game, where when you pull on a cracker with a friend, both of you will get a random portion of the goodies inside!

We are happy to announce 1 NEW Greeting Card is available for purchase! You can pick up Greeting Cards from the Freeze Tag Online Store HERE. You receive multiple munzees from your single purchase. Read the details in the store, or see below.

NEW Greeting Card Munzee Details

We have 1 new Limited Edition card for your deploying pleasure!

While this card does have the same point structure as other Limited Edition cards, it does have some key differences, so here’s a breakdown:

  • When captured, it will award 25 Zeds, split randomly between the capper and owner
  • Instead of expiring 7 days after deploy, it will expire after 3 caps, to ensure that the Zeds are awarded
  • These cards will be sold in packs of 2, vs the usual 3 for Limited Edition cards
  • Limit 20 per player (a total of 40 cards)
  • Will leave the store at 12:00 MHQ on Wednesday, December 15

Don’t forget to edit the title and the notes to add a personal touch! While the capture message will contain your Munzee username as all Greeting Card capture messages do, we think typing in a more specific note will go a long way to creating a more unique and special experience!

CO4L Credits Burning a Hole in Your Pocket?

In our first CO4L Credits post, we mentioned that another tab in the Redeem Store would appear later on. As planned, this tab contains items that will remain available through 02:30 MHQ on Monday, January 3rd (the expiration date we had set for CO4L Credits) — so you don’t need to worry about them going away like the items in the [Christmas (Week X)] tab! Currently there’s only one item in there right now, so here’s everything you need to know!

LOC04LMOTIVE Details

Like the other Munzee Mechz, the LOC04LMOTIVE is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until it has been captured 5 times. In addition, as a Christmas Combat Mech, upon capture you have the chance to earn 1 – 3 CO4L Credits. At 12:00 MHQ today, it was made available in the Redeem Store in the [Christmas Surprises] tab for 25 CC. If you decide to make the trade, a LOC04LMOTIVE will be automatically deployed on your account at once! You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future.

Points

  • Deploy: 804
  • Capture: 150-250
  • CapOn: 104-304
  • Overheat (5th Cap): 500

You can find these hot wheels blazing to the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

LOC04LMOTIVEs will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture LOC04LMOTIVEs on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same LOC04LMOTIVE visits you. LOC04LMOTIVEs are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access LOC04LMOTIVEs by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

Badges

Deploying a LOC04LMOTIVE will earn you the corresponding Blueprint badge, which you can see below.

As promised, we have a line of capture badges that you can earn for LOC04LMOTIVE, TR33 TOPP3R, and N1NJ4 ST4R captures! It’s possible that this line may include other types we release in the future. You can see the first badge in this line below as well!

Collect CO4L and Other Goodies in Christmas Crackers!

Having trouble collecting CO4L? We promised to release some MOBs that should make the task MUCH easier, so here they are now! Starting at 12:00 MHQ on December 7th, Christmas Cracker specials will bounce around the map until 23:59 MHQ on January 2nd.

Christmas Cracker Specials

These poppin’ packages will be released in waves, but will end at a total of 500 Holly Christmas Crackers and 500 Jolly Christmas Crackers. They will bounce around on the map every 4 hours or when captured. You can find Christmas Cracker specials at the following munzees near you:

Holly Christmas Crackers will be attracted to Physical Magnets, while Jolly Christmas Crackers will be attracted to Virtual Magnets. To access these specials, please turn on your “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters.

When you capture a Christmas Cracker, you will receive:

  • 1 – 3 CO4L Credits
  • A random item inside, revealed similarly to the 1st/2nd/3rd Place Results of the #WorldBicycleDay specials or the catches from the Go Fishing specials.
    • At launch you can expect to see the Orange, Green and Blue Party Hats from Holly Christmas Crackers, and the Purple, Yellow, and Red Party Hats from the Jolly Christmas Crackers.
      • The rare Unicorn Party Hat can be found in both!
  • A random amount of points — rarer items will be worth more! However, they will always award 25 points for CapOn.

More items will appear as the month goes on, so make sure to keep an eye out! They won’t be party hats — we want to add some variety! However, this first week is your best chance at finding the Unicorn Party Hat as there are less items in the pools.

Badges

There will be five badges to earn for these specials. Three are based on the total number of Christmas Cracker specials you capture, but just how many captures it takes to earn all 3 badges will be kept a secret! The remaining 2 badges are based on receiving at least 1 of each of the different Christmas Cracker items. You can see the first badge below:

Christmas Skins for MythologiGals!

As part of last month’s Candy Corn craze, we enjoyed coming up with themed Halloween Skins for our Myths! For this month we decided it was the MythologiGals‘ time to shine. One of the Gals’ skins was sneakily released at the start of the month — so we’ll get into that first before providing the usual details on the bouncers below!

Merry Mermaid Skin
Event QRates

The Merry Mermaid was made available in NEW Event QRates starting on 12:00 MHQ on December 1! She bounces to Greenies, Ice Mysteries, Water Mysteries, and Treehouses.

Event QRates are similar to the 10th Birthday Mailbox Birthday QRate we released in the past, in that it comes with a temporary slot, if all your slots are full.

However, the Event QRate is unique in that:

  • It is guaranteed to be found upon the first capture of an Event Indicator pin
  • It requires 48 physical munzee captures to open
  • Upon opening it, you are guaranteed to receive the Merry Mermaid skin
    • If you already own the Merry Mermaid skin (i.e. you’ve attended more than one event in December) you will receive either a Physical Magnet, Virtual Magnet, or Zeds.

Snow Queen Nymph Skin
Sir Prize Santa – Rob’s List (Tier 3)

The Snow Queen Nymph skin was automatically added to all players on Rob’s List on 00:01 MHQ time today — no capping of Sir Prize Santa required. She will bounce to Greenies, Ice Mysteries, Blue Colored Virtuals*, Treehouses, and Skylands.

If you aren’t on Sir Prize Santa‘s list yet and would like to change that, click HERE! If you purchase a Tier 3 membership TODAY you can still get the Snow Queen skin as long as you deploy and cap your Sir Prize Santa before 23:59 MHQ time on December 6th. Please note that as this skin is automatically added to players’ accounts in batches, some Rob’s Listers may receive the skin tomorrow.

Christmas Skin Details

Like the past Halloween Skins, the Merry Mermaid and Snow Queen Nymph are skins you can apply to an upgraded Mermaid and Nymph, respectively. You can switch between these skins and the base skins for the myths as many times as you like.

Other than the different landing pads mentioned above, these lovely ladies have a lot in common with their original skin counterparts:

  • They will bounce every 12 hours or when capped.
  • They are worth 200 points for Capture, 100 points for CapOn
  • They are available for multi-capture
  • They are non-blastable
  • They are attracted to magnets
  • You can access them by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

If you haven’t picked up a Mermaid or Nymph yet, keep an eye on this blog and also the Freeze Tag Store — you never know when they might be on sale! Don’t forget to pick up a Bouncer Upgrade Credit as well. When you’re ready to dress up your myth, just use the [Convert] option either in the app or on the website to apply it!

Need Help Putting Up the Christmas Lights? Zeus is Your Man!

For the most wonderful time of the year, it sure is a lot of work! Especially if you make the effort to decorate the exterior of your home with colorful Christmas lights — it is not only a veritable workout but also a potentially dangerous task. So if you’d prefer to pass the task off to a professional this year, you’ll be in good hands with this newest Modern Myth!

Zeus will be available for sale starting at 15:00 MHQ time today until 12:00 MHQ time on Dec 6!

Zeus Details

The Zeus Modern Myth will be available for purchase HERE! He will be spotted bouncing around to Greenies, Topazes, Electric Mysteries, Yellow, Orange, and Light Green Colored Virtuals*, Treehouses, and Skylands every 12 hours or when capped.

Each Zeus is numbered and will be owned by a Munzee player. You can pick this Myth up for $20! The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership. Only ONE (1) Zeus is allowed per account.

Points

  • Deploy: 250
  • Capture: 200
  • CapOn: 100

In keeping with the Modern Myth line, when he is captured 3 new munzees will also be scattered nearby — these will either be Lightning Bolts or Multimeters!

These will scatter like feathers so there are no CapOn points but they are worth 50 points for capture!

Zeus is able to be upgraded via a Bouncer Upgrade Credit, which gives the ability to be “nudged” or be renamed. The upgrade credit will give you the ability to “nudge” your Zeus to a new munzee up to three times a day, following the MHQ 24-hour day, after it has been on its host munzee for at least three hours. This nudging ability is only available for the owner via the munzee’s webpage and is not available in the app.

Your munzee will still retain its unique number, but feel free to get creative when it comes to renaming your Zeus! Just be sure to follow the Player Code of Conduct, and remember Munzee maintains a family-friendly environment.

If you’re hoping to cap one of these brand new Modern Myths, then you’re in luck! Zeus will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Munzee Magnets. You can access Zeus by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” and “All Mythological” filters.

Badges

Deploying Zeus will earn you the badge shown on the left below. All captures will count toward the Myth Collectors badge line. There is also a line of hidden Capture badges that you can earn for Zeus captures, with 3 badges currently available, but more to come! The first in this line is shown on the right below:

Previous Modern Myths Still Available!

If you missed out on Poseidon, Aphrodite, or Hades, they were available until today as part of our Cyber Munzday Sale, which was set to end at the time of this blog’s release. Since we don’t want Zeus to be lonely in the store, we’ve extended the time period for these Modern Myths ONLY — they will now remain in the store until the same end date as Zeus.

CO4L Credits — Not Just for the Naughty List!

October’s Candy Corn Credits were a hit, so after reviewing the activity on them and making some improvements (we hope ?) we’ve created a new limited-time credit for you to earn and redeem!

Like Jewel Shards, Weapon Shards, and Cogs, you’ll be able to redeem CO4L Credits (CC) at the Redeem Store for game pieces. However, similar to Candy Corn Credits, they can only be redeemed until 02:30 MHQ on Monday, January 3rd (when January Clan Wars starts).

How to Earn CO4L Credits

CO4L Credits can be earned from 00:01 MHQ on Wednesday, December 1st to 23:59 MHQ on Friday, December 31st.

As usual, the most up-to-date list of what’s available will be what you see on munzee.com/redeem. Unlike the tabs for Candy Corn Credits, this time you’ll only be able to redeem items in the “Week 1” tab during Week 1, after which, only the “Week 2” tab will be visible until Week 3, and so on. So make sure to spend your credits each week!
