We’re back this year with our Dodgy Jumper Competitions, and they’ve been great so far! Below are winners from events that hosts chose or players voted on. (We may also add some honorable mentions, such as hosts who couldn’t win.) We’ll be updating the gallery as more events happen!
During the end of last month, we had a competition with Referral Codes. The premise? The three people who have their referral codes scanned the most during the time period win. Well we’ve calculated the numbers, and we have some winners! The top three are:
Congratulations! You’ll be contacted shortly regarding your prizes.
We want to thank everyone who participated and helped grow the game! Munzee is all about community, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the wonderful community of players we have. We can’t wait to see where our sixth year takes us, and we’re glad you’re along for the ride!
July was a great month, and you made our 5th Birthday Month the best yet! We want to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in various ways throughout the month, and especially those of you who submitted pictures for our photo contest. Our final five winners for the month are:
Congratulations! You’ll be contacted soon regarding your prizes. Remember, you can see the photo album on our Google+ Page.
We’ve got a lot coming up in the next few days, so keep your eyes here on the blog for all of the information!
This past weekend was full of great events, and along with those events come great pictures! Today’s photo submission winners are:
Congratulations! You’ll be contacted soon regarding your prizes. Remember, the album can be found on our Google+ page, and we’re updating it constantly.
It’s hard to believe, but there is only one week left of Birthday Month! Let’s make it count! You can submit pictures to email@example.com with the subject “Munzee’s 5th Birthday”, and the final winners will be drawn on Monday, August 1st, so make sure to get your pictures submitted by then!
Have fun, and Munzee on!
Last week, we shared Munzee Introduction Flyers which allow you to introduce players of other geo-location based games to Munzee. These flyers are editable to include your own referral code to benefit from these new player signups. That will come in handy for our latest competition.
From tomorrow (July 19th) at 00:01 MHQ time through July 31st at 23:59 MHQ time, we will be having a competition using referral codes. After the time period has passed, we calculate the three players who had their referral codes scanned the most*. The winners will receive gift cards to the Munzee Online Store.
Speaking of the online store, we’ve also added a new Munzee Decal with Referral Code to it!
This sticker will be die-cut (similar to the current Munzee Decal) but will also include your own referral code on it! These are available now and are prices 2 for $5. (Because these are custom, they may take a bit longer to ship than generic stickers or decals.) These are just the start to new, personalized stickers you will be able to get!
So get out there and grow the community! What better time than birthday month?!
*Please keep in mind: This competition is about growing the Munzee community and game. Checks regarding the legitimacy of the number of scans will be in place, and if a user is found to have cheated in some way, action will be taken. While we don’t like to include this disclaimer, we want to make sure that it is clear and that everyone is competing equally.
Well it’s officially our Birthday Month now, and things are starting to settle down after MHQ Birthday Bash in Denver. We like celebrating, though, and we like to spread the Munzee love around. We’ve put together some prize packs, and we need players to give them to!
All you have to do to be entered to win a prize pack is send us a picture showing us how you’re celebrating Munzee’s 5th Birthday. The pictures will be added to an online gallery, and everyone who submits one will be entered into a random drawing. Pictures can be submitted all month long. Winners will be chosen on the following days:
- Sunday, July 10th
- Friday, July 15th
- Wednesday, July 20th
- Monday, July 25th
- Monday, August 1st
Email pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Munzee’s 5th Birthday” to be entered and have your pictures added to the gallery. We can’t wait to see what you’re doing!
We will be contacting Freecyclestacy shortly to begin working with her on the final design!
Thank you everyone for submitting suggestions and voting on our next Urban Camo skin. We’ve got a lot of new things in store for you, and we can’t wait to share them. Munzee on!
We asked for your skin suggestions, and now it’s time to vote on them! We chose 5 of the best suggestions we received and mocked them up. We need your help deciding which one(s) we’ll put into production!
- Registered Number with Date, suggested by TrialbyFire – The red writing will be player written.
- Clock face/dial without numbers (no username) – The clock hands will be player drawn.
- Maintenance Schedule, suggested by Freecyclestacy
- Official Sign, suggested by Rosemark – The red writing will be player written.
- Caution with Symbol (no username)
Please keep in mind that these are only mockups and not the final designs. Once the winning design(s) is/are chosen, our design team will work with the player(s) to finalize a design for production.
We’re looking to update our Urban Camo line of Munzees, and we want your input!
Players in the field know what they want and need to successfully hide Munzees. We want to help grow the game through new skins. These skins can be small like the Shamrock stickers or larger to accommodate new types of Urban Camos. We want to know what you want!
Players who submit chosen designs will be credited with the idea and will receive a pack of these new stickers. (Keep in mind that we already have some new designs in the works already.)
Do you have a suggestion or request for a new skin? Let us know here.
Our players are the reason for Munzee. You grow the map, introduce new people to the game, and help new players along. While the Munzee staff can explain the technical aspects of the game, it’s you who learn the ins and outs of the gameplay. On more than one occasion, you’ve taught us your tips and tricks. So when it comes to “How To” videos, who better to ask for help than those who’ve made this game their own.
We will be launching/updating a “How To” section on our website and YouTube channel. We are seeking video and/or text submissions to be posted on our official pages/websites to help new and veteran users learn about different aspects of the game. Submissions that are used will be credited with the submitting player’s name/username, and they will be rewarded with prizes/items.
Text submissions should be 300-1000 words and explain the aspect of gameplay chosen. The submissions should be concise but thorough. Please keep in mind that users may not be familiar with all aspects or terms of the game. The reader should be able to understand what is being described without previous or related knowledge.
Video submissions should be between 1-2:30 minutes and uploaded to YouTube. As with text submissions, they should be concise but thorough. Videos can be screen recordings (such as this one), videos of you explaining the aspect, or anything in between.
You may submit both video and text for the same submission. If you choose to submit either medium for multiple aspects of the game, please enter them separately so we can keep track of them.
Submissions can be made here.
Please be aware of language and content of both video and text submissions. Munzee reserves the right to edit either type of submission to reflect our brand more clearly or appropriately.
