Featured Munzee Toolkit: Lisa Wright (CrazyLadyLisa)

One of the best parts about Munzee is that you can play how you want. Everyone goes about playing a bit differently, and that leads to some very creative and innovative uses of objects. From containers to bags to maintenance, we always encounter something new when we meet players. We want to showcase your Munzee Toolkits to see how you play the game and possibly even inspire other players who may need help. This week’s featured Munzee Toolkit comes from Lisa Wright (CrazyLadyLisa).

What’s in your Munzee Toolkit?

As I munzee on the way to work in the morning, I need to have a bag that I can combine both Munzee and personal stuff in. My handbag is great as it has lots of pockets on the outside as well as a shoulder strap.

The front and 2 side pockets hold small tins full of specific types of munzees, a larger tin, and my card wallet with mixed munzees. Clue, double-sided tape, scissors, pen, telescopic magnetic pick-up tool, a pliers/screwdriver/etc gadget, and the ever needed phone screen cleaning cloth are also held here.

Back pockets hold the Personal Munzees, plastic bags (just in case), and a plastic bag the size of the phone for the rain! They also hold a one hole punch, plastic sheets covered with duct tape (cut to munzee size), and zip ties for fences and trees.

Then, there is the inside of the bag. Aside from personal stuff such as a wallet, comb, and shopping bag, the rest is Munzee stuff: extra phone, battery chargers, container of various phone cables, selfie stick for those out of reach munzees, and hanging tags.

The handbag does weigh a fair bit, so it’s not really suitable for long Munzee sessions. I have a great leather bag from my first trip to Germany which I use.I just transfer the essentials an get going.

A useful hanging tag can be made by using gift voucher cards cut in 4 and punched with a hole. They fit a mini or micro munzee nicely.

What’s in your Munzee Toolkit?

I carry all of my Munzee gear in my trusty mono backpack which is easy to swing to the front of my body for quick access.

I carry all of my physical stickers in the segmented box pictured which originally contained a selection of wood screws. The handy compartments are just a nice size to separate my stickers into specials, Jewels, etc.

Next comes my point of sale hangers. These are great for attaching stickers to, folding, and clipping onto wire fencing. I’ve got to thank my fellow clan member Barry (8a22a) for the tip on these. We’re still working out how to make them sheep-proof as the local farm animals seem to like chewing them up.

I carry 3 external battery packs and 2 USB leads for those long days out in the field and can share them if anyone wants extra power. The two 12,500 mAh packs were a bargain, and I can get around 12-15 hours from them combined.

I always have a bag of my own printed greenies which are laminated and cut to shape. Some are also perforated. I attach them to objects with either cable ties or glue them on with the tube of glue I always carry.

I’ve also go a laminated card with all of my Social and Personal Munzees just in case I meet a fellow player.

Finally, the ex-scout in me forces me to always carry a space blanked/bivvy bag in case of inclement weather, plus a handy multi-tool and dry cloth for wet days in the wilderness!

What’s in your Munzee Toolkit?

Main 2 bags I use:

Tools in the outer pouches for various uses:

Some extras always with me in the main bag:

The red camera bag contains extra batteries, fully charged in the inner section, and when they need a charge, they go into the outer section of the flap:

Inside the main bag are the goodies — several containers of munzees and Munzee deploy devices (dog tags, treetags):

The littler letters on the side help keep the munzees organized by type, using my super secret coding system. Not pictured are some smaller containers I fill with munzees to carry once outside the car when capping and deploying.

The black bag is for Munzee trips and contains a power inverter and an Anker 30 watt 5 USB 2.1a charger. Great for sharing power with a car load and for charging when at a hotel room:

I have played around with “many” different setups, but I like this one with best and have used it for well over a year now. I take EVERYTHING with me almost everywhere I do. Some people walk into work with a briefcase, I walk in with my Munzee bag (too valuable to leave in the car – I have a ton of Munzee stickers in it. I try to keep a good amount of almost all types.)

What’s in your Munzee Toolkit?

First up, it’s my folder for holding munzees. Its just two pieces of thick plastic taped together with a rubber band across the edges. Stickers are on a sheet, so peeling them off is easier.

folder

Second are extra batteries; can’t go out without them.

battery
Third is my friend, the Swiss Arms knife. For whatever comes in my way.

knife
Fourth is a waterproof bag for my phone.  Be sure to put the phone in before everything gets wet.

Fifth are the extras for when I meet other hunters. My Personal Munzee and a travelbug.

extras
Sixth are the tools: a spherical mirror for looking under benches and tight spots (even capturing a sticker at an impossible angle is no longer a problem) and a selfiestick makes way up high back in reach.

Last are the cables and a marker. Just dotting the i’s on this list.
