March 2021 GOTM Winners

March has certainly been a month of innovation! We kicked things off with the new Bee Evolutions in MunzPaks, followed soon after by Reseller Garden Gnomes! As socially-distanced events are starting to pick up again, we launched some new March into May Event options, which are perfect for adding the charm of Spring to the map!

Speaking of events, we had something to celebrate almost every week! First was real-life Lou’s #ChooseToChallenge campaign with limited-time Fancy Flat Lou scatters and badges! Next, part 1 of Roverhaul was delivered in our Jewel Day 2021 event. Currently our St. Patrick’s day event is underway, which saw the re-release of the Virtual Shamrock, new Greeting Cards, and ways to earn Zeds from Zee Folk and Leprechauns.

We are now happy to announce the winners of the March Gardens of the Month (GOTM)! The badges will be awarded in early April, but we couldn’t wait to share the winners we’ve chosen!

March GOTM

It’s rare for a month to have 2 gardens which highlight our different releases so well — it just goes to show you that any design can have its time to shine, so don’t hesitate to let us know about completed gardens you enjoy! Remember that all winning GOTM organizers and all players who deployed in the winning gardens will be awarded special badges for their contribution to growing the map. This month we’re happy to award the Laidley Bee Love Garden, designed by BonnieB1, and the Lou [and Rob]-Feld Garden, designed by paupau, as our winning March GOTM! The gardens appear as follows:

Laidley Bee Love by BonnieB1 in Queensland, Australia

BonnieB1 does it again with this sweet design! We especially love her use of Carnation and Field Evos!

While this garden was submitted in February since it was created with Valentine’s Day in mind, we wanted to save it for this month as it was the debut of our Bee Evolutions!

Lou [and Rob]-Feld by paupau in Bielefeld, Germany

It can be hard to make silhouettes recognizable, but paupau did a great job with Flat Lou’s shape, assisted with monochrome virtuals for her helmet and bike.

This winner was another no-brainer as it reminded us of the limited-time Fancy Flat Lou scatters, and the theme of women and their accomplishments overall.

All players who deployed in the respective winning gardens will receive the following special badges:

Rules for GOTM nominations:

  1. Garden must feature non-licensed character designs.
  2. The garden must feature a Garden Places Pin.
  3. The garden must be built using a publicly available spreadsheet which we will ask to be locked after being 100% deployed.
  4. We’re asking for ongoing nominations and we will release the winners throughout the year.

Send your nomination for GOTM to iloveyou@munzee.com! Keep in mind that we take all former nominations into consideration for upcoming months. Just be sure your garden follows the nomination rules in order to be considered eligible!

If you need help deploying in a Virtual Garden, you can check out this step-by-step tutorial that will making deploying in a garden easy no matter how long you’ve been playing. To fill in the gardens, make sure to stock up on Virtuals and Color Credits from the Freeze Tag Online Store.

Munzee on!

P.S. Are you looking for POTM requirements? Remember that last year, we announced that we were holding off on POTM for now as we develop a new way to highlight our unique player base!
