March Fundraising Information

When we first started discussions about a fundraiser for March, we knew we wanted to push the envelope and make it our biggest yet. We spent the week calculating totals, and we couldn’t be happier or more proud of players worldwide for your generosity. We’re proud to announce that we are prepared to make our largest donation ever!

We’ve briefly mentioned where the money will be donated, but now, we have more information. The following are the three groups we will be donating to. We want to surprise the recipients in person with the donation amounts, so that information will come when the donations are made.

Skylar

We’ve been honored to help Skylar on her journey from Miss Wheelchair Texas to Miss Wheelchair USA and beyond. We will be donating to her which will allow her to continue her work on behalf of the Miss Wheelchair USA program. “Like” her on Facebook to stay up to date with all of her activities.

Muscular Dystrophy Association

Munzee is working with MDA to better the lives of individuals who have been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. From research for a cure to MDA Summer Camp, the Muscular Dystrophy Association impacts hundreds of thousands of lives every year. Along with potentially partnering with MDA on other projects, we will be donating to them on behalf of Munzee players worldwide.

You can learn more about MDA at their website and watch a video about what they do here.

Motor Neurone Disease Association

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks nerves that control movement, leaving people unable to move, talk, and eventually breathe. There is currently no cure for MND.

The MND Association improves care and support for those with MND, funds and promotes research for an MND cure, and campaigns and raises awareness for people with MND. Munzee’s donation to the MND Association will go towards funding scientists with the goals of studying and developing cures for MND.

You can learn more about MND and the MND Association at their website.

Again, we couldn’t be more proud of everyone who helped raise this money for these causes. We’ll have more information regarding the specific donations very soon. Munzee on!
