New limits on Undeployed Lists

Five years ago one of the early things Rob changed when he became President of Munzee was to place a limit on the number of munzees a player could have in their undeployed list. The limit stopped players from adding an endless supply of munzees to be printed at home. At 00:01 on October 10, 2018 we will be taking an additional step in our attempt to keep the map full of munzees that are long lasting and high quality.

For premium members there is only one change: You will be limited to creating 250 total munzees via the “create munzee” tool per month. All other information remains the same. Your overall undeployed list will remain at 250 munzees total. If you have more than 250 munzees in your undeployed list you will not be able to use the create munzee tool until you have deployed some. The exception to this rule is any prizes earned or purchases made via the online store.

For non-premium members: You will be limited to creating 100 total munzees via the “create munzee” tool per month. Your overall undeployed list will be reduced to 50 munzees total. If you have more than 50 munzees in your undeployed list you will not be able to use the “Create munzee” tool until you have deployed more. The exception to this rule is any prizes added or purchases made via the online store.

As it was intended by the Munzee Co-Founders seven years ago, Munzee will always remain a game that is “free to play.” Our generic stickers are one way for us to keep the game free to download, and free to play within a few confines. Generic stickers sold through our online store and our authorized resellers do not count as part of your undeployed totals. They are not assigned to a specific account until they are deployed. Over the nearly 6 years we’ve been creating our high quality vinyl stickers we’ve seen a massive drop in price and vow to continue passing along any savings we negotiate to our customers. We all win if deployed munzees are there when a player looks for them.

Limits

If you have more than 25 munzees in your undeployed list you will not be able to use the “Create munzee” tool until you have lowered that number through deploying/archiving. Prizes and purchases made via the online store will continue to be added to your account. The max limit only stops you from using the create munzee tool. **These numbers have been lowered as of October 20, 2020.
