March 2023 Skin: Frog Hedge

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into March with your desired Hedges! The skin for completing your February capture streak (and the corresponding badge), which is the Rabbit Garden Hedge shown below, will be awarded in early February. But, we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store for next month!

As stated earlier, to earn this skin, you’ll need to complete next month’s (March’s) capture streak. Once the skin is awarded in April, you can change the skin on the hedge to this one at any point — refer to our Help Guide article for the instructions!

Like the other Hedge Flowers, these scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Hedge owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These hedge scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
Overall deploy badges — the more hedges you deploy, the merrier!
Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned hedge!

Celebrate 9th Birthday Events at Camp Munzee!

Howdy everyone! July 2020 is our 9th birthday and we want to celebrate with YOU at Camp Munzee! We’ll have more details about all sorts of fun birthday surprises in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

This year we’re going to do it in a slightly different way with player events. All events that take place between July 1st and September 9th will receive a special Camp Munzee Camper badge for players. Event hosts will also receive the Camp Munzee Counselor badge for hosting an event during this timeframe.

There will be no special event packages during this time however you are still able to add a custom icon and badge to your event. Louise is ready to work with hosts to customize their events so please get your events on the calendar and setup your basic event package!

There is one special new munzee that will only be available to purchase for event accounts! The brand new limited edition Event Greeting Card! For the 9th birthday events these cards will cost $9.99 for 40 cards! Contact Louise to order for your event!

As always please respect your local guidelines for social distancing and safety. We hope a 9 week period for our 9th birthday events gives more people a chance to host, attend and earn the badges.

Eventzee App Update In Relation To Munzee

We’re excited to announce a new version of the Eventzee app (and logo!) will be available for download later this week! The latest version of Eventzee has been totally reworked to offer virtual events and scavenger hunts for any occasion.

As excited as we are for the Eventzee team, there will be a transition period regarding the new app. You can read all about the new features, exciting partnerships, and more on the Eventzee blog. The purpose of this announcement on the Munzee blog is to identify some of the key changes, and how they affect Munzee and Eventzee’s relationship.

The new Eventzee app is an entirely new build, so when the new app is available you will not update your current version of the Eventzee app. Instead, you will need to search for the new version in your phone’s app store. This means that the Eventzee database has been restructured as its own and will no longer be a part of Munzee.

New User Sign-up:

Since Eventzee will no longer be sharing databases, Munzee and Eventzee accounts will no longer be linked. So if you choose to join an Eventzee hunt you will need to create a new account.

Munzee Events:

Moving forward, Eventzee hunts will no longer be an additional add-on item for Munzee Events. This means that bonus points, and badges, etc will no longer be available for future events. However, this is subject to change as we develop our plan on incorporating this new app into Munzee events!

Please note that some Fall Into Spring events with Eventzee packages are still scheduled on the calendar. These will continue as planned, but players will need to use the previous Eventzee app in order to participate. The new app will be replacing the older app in the App and Play Stores at the end of this week. So if you wish to participate in these Munzee Event hunts you need to make sure to keep the older version of the app on your phone since you will not be able to redownload it.

Eventzee Legacy Badges

Badges currently available to be earned in Eventzee will become legacy badges. Legacy badges earned will still show in the Munzee app, and any Eventzee hunts completed on the old system (for example at a Fall Into Spring event) will count toward them. The new Eventzee app will not show these badges.

Eventzee Themed Huntz

The themed scavenger hunts sold earlier this year will not be available in the new Eventzee app. Anyone who purchased these hunts will still be able to finish them using the old Eventzee app. As stated above, the old app will be supported for the time being, but you must have it downloaded to your phone before the new app is released.

We appreciate all of your support and hope that should your company, family, or organization need a customized scavenger hunt tool you look no further than Eventzee. This new app is top of the line, and will be able to offer more opportunities than the previous app has ever been able to. Thank you all again, we’re excited to see where Eventzee goes from here!

ZeeOps- Operation: 1UP (November 2019)

After the fall of ZeeOps HQ more than a year ago it seemed all hope was lost. Thankfully surviving ZeeOps agents have formed a secret rebellion known as The Gamers. Although the Mean Green Gang has been dealt a critical blow, there is still much work to do if we want to avenge the legacy of ZeeOps.

The Gamers’ rebellion was a brutal strike to the Mean Green Gang, but there are more nefarious enemies to take down. If we want to stop these culprits we’ll need to pull out the big guns. Learn more about the mysterious Project B.O.U.N.C.E.R., track down Director Zee, and strengthen your forces before we take the battle to The Rising Sons.

November 2019 ZeeOps Operations are now live and you can begin planning your Missions to start on the following day. You can plan your Operations at munzee.com/ops/ and purchase more ZeeCred in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Remember that if you hit a snag at any point in your Operation you can use the Mission Mulligan feature to keep going!

This month features a variety of munzee types including Player Owned Bouncers (POBs). You can increase your chances at finding Bouncers by using Munzee Magnets so be sure to stock up in the online store. Please note that there are only two Operation types available for this month- the Basic Op (3 days) and the Advanced Op (7 days).

By completing any Operation this month you’ll earn the “Operation: 1UP” badge.

This month’s Missions are as follows:

Level One:

Weapons Training- Capture at least 10 clan weapons.
Virtually Vertical- Capture at least 5 of any virtual type munzee AND capture at least 1 of ANY type of POB

ZeeOps- Operation Game Over (October 2019)

It’s been more than a year since the fall of ZeeOps HQ. The Rising Sons and The Mean Green Gang control all aspects of what’s left of the organization. All is not lost though. In the past year you have helped organize a secret rebellion known as The Gamers. Although your numbers are few, you’re ready to put an end to this era of control.

Be careful though. Despite your allegiances to the secret rebellion, you have to keep your cover and do as MGG demands.The Gamers’ plan can’t be revealed before it’s time to strike, so you’ll need to keep doing MGG’s dirty work as well.

October 2019 ZeeOps Operations are now live and you can begin planning your Missions to start on the following day. You can plan your Operations at munzee.com/ops/ and purchase more ZeeCred in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Remember that if you hit a snag at any point in your Operation you can use the new Mission Mulligan feature to keep going!

LegaZeeOps- Operation: Star Studies (September 2019)

Agents, ZeeOps HQ’s system has been hacked and all of our files on past missions have been erased! You’ll have to recreate past Operations in what we’re calling LegaZeeOps. It’s up to you to keep the legacy of this organization in tact. The missions for this month are the same that were originally available in September 2017’s Operations.

Despite Director Zee’s return, little has been spoken regarding the First Clan’s ominous warnings of the war to come. The Director insists we must continue to focus on the work at hand, because peace is only temporary in this line of work.

Mysterious Zodiac symbols have begun showing up all across the world. It’s up to you to investigate and report back to HQ.

The Zodiac Munzees appear to be reactive to the stars and the time of year. Reports also suggest a masked vigilante is behind the ominous deploys. Be careful and if you come across this Zodiac Vigilante, do not engage until we can figure out his motives.

September 2019 ZeeOps Operations are now live and you can begin planning your Missions to start on the following day. LegaZeeOps- Operation: Clan Clash (August 2019)

Agents, despite our best attempts to keep this confidential, Director Zee is missing. After being replaced by the Dictator last month, his whereabouts have become unknown. Despite his absence, it’s up to ZeeOps Agents worldwide to continue their missions and protect the world.

Random archaic weapons shipments have begun popping up all over the world. You’ll need to investigate this by capturing and deploying Clan Weapon Munzees throughout the month.

The Clan Weapons that have begun to pop up all over the world may contain a hidden message from Director Zee. As a collector of weaponry of all sorts, Director Zee may be using these weapon deploys as a communication tactic. It is up to you to save Director Zee from whomever holds his fate.

Introducing the Classical AlternaMyth Wrangler Badge!

It’s been a while since the release of the Myth Wrangler, Classical Myth Wrangler, and AlternaMyth Wrangler badges, so it seems long past due that we introduce your next challenge!

We’re excited to announce that you’ll soon be able to earn the Classical AlternaMyth Wrangler badge for capturing all four Classical AlternaMyths in a single day!

The Fire Pegasus, Cherub Faun, Ogre, and Chimera are all hard enough to find on their own, but will you be lucky enough to cap them all in one day? Since these Alternative Versions of the four Classical Mythological Munzees are exclusively deployed by Freeze Tag team members, this badge is only for the most committed of Myth hunters.

You’ll want to do everything you can to increase your odds, so remember to utilize Munzee Magnets and Elemental Munzees.

Please note that regular first generation Myths or AlternaMyths, Classical Myths, or Gen 3 Myths will not count toward this badge. The Classical AlternaMyth Wrangler badge IS NOT retroactive though. The badge will begin awarding at 00:01 MHQ time on Wednesday July 17, 2019.

LegaZeeOps- Operation: Going Green (July 2019)

Due to your hard work in June the contaminated outlier strain of Evolution Munzees has been controlled. Despite investigations into what caused the issue, there have been few leads as to who was behind the leak. ZeeOps Agents must focus on forward though, so prepare for this month’s Operations.

Since the leaders of the Mean Green Gang have seemingly all been eradicated Director Zee has kicked off a probation program for former MGG members. The program has been named “Going Green.” He has requested that ZeeOps agents worldwide begin rounding up Mean Greenies to present them the opportunity to join forces. The program has been met with some resistance from both ZeeOps agents and former Mean Green Gang operatives though, so be careful.
