Announcing Secret Admirer Specials!

Love is in the air and it seems you all have a secret admirer or two! Who could it possibly be? The only way to find out is to collect their heart pieces and reveal your true love!

2,800 Secret Admirer Specials will be on the map from 00:01 MHQ time on Tuesday, February 13th through Sunday, February 18th at 23:59. There will be a total of 4 heart pieces (700 of each on the map) and by collecting at least one of each corresponding piece (each side of the heart) you’ll earn a badge for that set.

Since it’s mystery as to who these secret admirers could be, these specials will work a bit differently. The Secret Admirer Specials will bounce on MVMs, Mysteries, Mini Mysteries, and Greenies every 6 hours or when capped. Since these specials bounce on both physical and virtual game pieces, both Munzee Magnets and Virtual Magnets will attract these icons.

Points:

  • Capture – 28
  • CapOn for host owners – 14

Per usual these will also count toward the Special Hunter badge line and you can cap them on your own munzees so be sure to cap as many as you can!

Newsletter: February 2017

February showed us a lot of love! We released some awesome new coinz, had some great specials and announced a new operation we’ve put way more than 1,000 hours into.

Take a look back on some of the things that happened last month and what to expect in March as well! 

At long last we are proud to announce the creation of ZeeOps- single player campaign missions to complete for rewards. These Operations work much like individual Clan Wars, but feature a range of Mission difficulty levels that require a variety of Munzee skills.

Chocoholic

This February love was in the air- love of chocolate that is. We released Chocloate Heart Boxes that released three different kinds of chocolate when capped. Capping all three earned players an empty box of chocolate badge. Whether you had a Valentine or not, MHQ wanted to make sure you got something sweet!

Furry Forest Friends

This month 1,500 Faun Mythological Munzees scurried onto the map to greenies and Earth Mystery Munzees worldwide.The first of our Classical Mythological Munzee set, these furry forest dwellers are attracted to Earth Mystery Munzees, which were also released this month.

Tea Time!

Easter will be here before we know it, so we gleefully announced that the whole of April is open for you to host and attend Munzee Tea Parties! The inspiration for these came from all round the world, so thank you for letting us know about your Easter and spring traditions. 

Be sure to get your event on the Munzee Calendar ASAP because there will be an art work deadline in a couple of weeks based on demand.

 

Hidden In Plain Sight

We’ve added some new Urban Camo munzees to the Online Store! These new designs are perfect for hiding the game pieces in public without worrying about them getting ripped up.These four new designs are available now for $7.50 for 20 stickers.

We’ve also changed the prices on the Mini Urban Camo Munzees to $5 for 20 stickers.

Valentine’s Day 2017 Special!

It’s February, and love is in the air. With Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching, many people are scrambling to make sure they get the right gift for their loved ones. Whether you have a valentine or not, though, you should always get a little something for yourself. We’re here to help with our Valentine’s Day 2017 Special!

From tomorrow (February 10th) at 00:01 MHQ time until February 19th at 23:59 MHQ time, 2017 boxes of chocolate will be on the map. These icons will bounce on greenies every six hours or when capped. When captured, three pieces of chocolate will scatter within a mile radius: Coconut Chocolate, Cherry Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate. These scattered chocolates will expire two hours after they appear or after capture, whichever comes first.

Points

Each icon will reward different points:

Box of Chocolate
Capture: 14
CapOn (for host owner): 14

Coconut Chocolate
Capture/CapOn: Split of 15 with a minimum of 5 (i.e.: 10 for capper and 5 for host owner, 5 for capper and 10 for host owner)

Cherry Chocolate
Capture/CapOn: Split of 25 with a minimum of 5 (i.e.: 15 for capper and 10 for host owner, 5 for capper and 20 for host owner)

Dark Chocolate
Capture/CapOn: Split of 35 with a minimum of 5 (i.e.: 10 for capper and 25 for host owner, 30 for capper and 5 for host owner)

Badges

There are two badges that can be earned during this special: Valentine’s Day 2017 and Chocoholic.

The Valentine’s Day 2017 badge is earned by capturing the Box of Chocolate icon or any of the scattered chocolates. The Chocoholic icon is earned by capturing all three types of chocolate icons.
