Welcome, CuppaZee!

We have some VERY exciting news here at MHQ that we can’t wait to share! We’re sure you all know and LOVE the amazing app, CuppaZee – and we do too! The creator, Sam Hindess, is doing AMAZING things over there, and his dedication to Munzee and CuppaZee is super inspiring. With all that being said, we’re extremely happy to announce that Sam and CuppaZee are now officially joining the Freeze Tag Family!

Sam started playing Munzee in 2013, being an avid Munzee player for almost a decade before joining Freeze Tag. For over half of that time playing, Sam had been developing CuppaZee, initially a 3rd party companion website (and later mobile app) for the game, regularly expanding its feature set based on the wants and needs of other players.

The CuppaZee app allows Munzee players to track their daily activity and ZeeOps progress, as well as keep track of items in their inventory and the locations of their bouncers. These features have become invaluable to the thousands of players who utilize the app!

This partnership between CuppaZee and Munzee will allow us to bring some very cool updates to you in the near future, so keep an eye out!

And now, a word from Sam:

“It’s awesome to have CuppaZee finally joining the Munzee family. I’m excited to be part of the Freeze Tag Team and look forward to seeing what brilliant ideas we can achieve together in the future!”

Starting Thursday, May 4 at 00:01 MHQ, each day you cap your Dark Side Mailbox you will be awarded a different Scrap Wars themed Greeting Card capture, similar to the other mailboxes. Please note that you’ll only be able to earn that specific card on that day, so you really don’t want to miss a day. The Dark Side Mailbox is available for $25 and includes the following:

  • 1 Dark Side Mailbox Munzee to deploy and move around anywhere at anytime!

You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future. It will cost 18 Cogs to rebuild this mech.

Cube Your Cubimals!

Remember when those cute Cubimals were stuck in QRates and we needed your help to get them out? How many have you saved? If you were diligently freeing them from their prisons all along, it’s time to collect your dues as the QRate-cracking, Cubimal-saving hero that you truly are! To celebrate the anniversary of their launch almost 2 years ago today, we’re bouncing with excitement to announce a long awaited and requested feature to give Cubimals new life!

Starting April 1 at 12:00 MHQ, you will be able to combine Mini Cubimals into temporary Cubimal Bouncers! How do you make a larger, more powerful cube? Combine them together of course! Since it takes 8 cubes to make a larger 2x2x2 cube, you’ll need 8 Mini Cubimals of the same type to turn it into a temporary Cubimal Bouncer. Each time the bouncer is captured a mini cube is consumed and will expire after 8 captures total. We’re curious to hear your feedback on the soft launch of these Cubimal Bouncers!

You can only move the mailbox in app and do NOT need to undeploy first. We really don’t want you to miss out! It is very important you capture it each day.

The mailbox can be captured up to 1000 feet away and is found under the Virtuals filter but ONLY visible to the OWNER. It will be archived after it is March 18. (Clarification: Mailbox was supposed to archive after 15 days of prizes ON March 18th, with 2 extra bonus days of double points over the weekend for mailbox owners. Apologies for the confusion!)

Play Your Favorite Beatz with this NEW Mech

In our first HeartBeatz post, we mentioned that another tab in the Redeem Store would appear later on. As planned, this tab contains items that will remain available through 02:30 MHQ on Thursday, February 9th (the expiration date we had set for HeartBeatz Credits) — so you don’t need to worry about them going away like the items in the [HeartBeatz (Week X)] tab (which swaps out on 12:00 MHQ every Tuesday)!

HeartBeatz Credits are Beating for You!

We wanted to hit the ground running this year with a new limited-time credit for you to earn through specific gameplay actions listed below! We’re not only kicking off the new year with a focus on fitness, we’re also celebrating heart health leading into the Valentine’s Day season. So love yourself and get moving to the beat!

Like Jewel Shards, Weapon Shards, and Cogs, you’ll be able to redeem HeartBeatz Credits (HBC) at the Redeem Store for game pieces. However, like the past limited-time credits, they can only be redeemed until 02:30 MHQ on Thursday, February 9th.

How to Earn HeartBeatz Credits

HeartBeatz Credits can be earned from now until 23:59 MHQ on Tuesday, February 7th.

As usual, the most up-to-date list of what’s available will be what you see on munzee.com/redeem. Like the tabs for Pumpkoin Credits, you’ll only be able to redeem items in the “Week 1” tab during Week 1, after which, only the “Week 2” tab will be visible until Week 3, and so on. So make sure to spend your credits each week!

The rewards/rates may change from time to time, but to start off with, this is what we have planned:

  • ALL Players:
    • 1 Howdy Greeting Card: 1 HBC, limited to 1 per non-Premium player, 5 per Premium player
    • 1 Winter Greeting Card: 1 HBC, limited to 1 per non-Premium player, 5 per Premium player
    • 4 Rover Treats: 3 HBC, limited to 1 per non-Premium player, 2 per Premium player
    • 1 Virtual Magnet: 5 HBC, limited to 1 per non-Premium player, 2 per Premium player
    • 5 Cogs: 20 HBC, limited to 1 per non-Premium player, 2 per Premium player
  • Premium Players:

However, you may see another tab appear later on, which will contain items that will remain available through 02:30 MHQ Feb 9th — this should appeal to those who prefer to save for bigger prizes.
