June 2023 GOTM Winners

This month saw a lot of awesome submissions, but ultimately, we narrowed it down to these two lovely gardens! Remember that all winning GOTM organizers and all players who deployed in the winning gardens will be awarded special badges for their contribution to growing the map. This month we’re happy to award Dog Days of Summer! designed by geomatrix, and Tiffy the Newmarket Cat designed by HingeandBrackett, as our winning June GOTM! Our motto for this month’s winners is, ” It’s raining cats and dogs!”

Discover Your Inner Playwright with Flat Typewriter Scatters!

There’s nothing better than the click clacking of fingers flying on an old typewriter. Except perhaps… a Flat Typewriter Scatter Event! To celebrate National Typewriter Day and Craig’s birthday, we’re excited to announce that we’re re-releasing Craig’s Flat Typewriter scatters for the weekend!

Limited Time Scatter Details

From the period of Wednesday, June 21st at 12:00 MHQ through Sunday, June 25th at 23:59 MHQ, when you capture a Flat Typewriter, up to 3 Stories may be scattered nearby!

The Stories, which are based on actual novels and plays Craig has written, will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flat Typewriter owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well! These Story scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Stories are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 25 points

Meet…the Owlbear! A NEW Storyland Myth!

Hey everyone! We’re excited to announce the launch of our NEW Storyland Myth: the Owlbear! The Owlbear is a staple in many fantasy stories, and we can’t wait to bring it into the Munzee universe! This ferocious fusion will be available for $20 – good luck taming this beast! NEW Owlbear Details

Like the other Mythological Munzees, the Owlbear is a permanent POB. Following the Jabberwock and the Treefolk, it is the 4th of a NEW Storyland line of Myths, so expect to see more creative creatures in the future!

You can find these ferocious fowls clambering to the landing pads above every 12 hours or when captured.

Owlbears will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture an Owlbear on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Owlbear visits you. Owlbears are non-blastable. They will be attracted to Physical Magnets. You can access them by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When an Owlbear is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Owlbear Eggs.

Greeting Card Details:

The Hug Your Cat Card will be a Limited Edition card, while the Early Bird and Night Owl cards will be Open Edition, which means that they are always available!

Greeting Cards will appear on the map as the base envelope icon below. Once you cap it, you’ll be able to see which type of Greeting Card you received — just like opening an envelope in real life!

If you see the envelope pin below on the map near you, make sure to cap it right away — you don’t want your Munzee friends to feel ignored! The Greeting Card munzee will be archived 7 days after it is deployed. All greeting cards are available for ALL players to capture.

Flat DHS Scatters Return for VCR Day 2023!

On June 7th, VCR Day is celebrated, paying homage to the iconic video cassette recorder! In this age of streaming services and digital media, VCRs hold a special place in our hearts, reminding us of simpler times when we eagerly anticipated rewinding our favorite movies or recording TV shows for later enjoyment. Our Flat DHS Scatter Event for VCR Day 2023 seeks to honor this beloved technology by bringing back the Flat DHS scatters for a short time!

Limited Time Scatter Details

June 2023 Clan Wars Requirements

It’s almost June! You’ll find all the latest details to our clan requirements and rewards in the clan section of our app.
It is possible that we could update clan requirements prior to June 3 and reserve the right to do so. The final requirements and rewards will always be shown in the app. We plan some scheduled maintenance to occur during June. We will announced it in advance and adjust clan requirements as necessary if there is any substantial downtime for gameplay.

We recommend the CuppaZee app and website for additional tracking of clan stats and daily gameplay!

June ClanPak

There is a limit of one per player per product/month. You can purchase the June ClanPak HERE! This is NOT a subscription program.

Level 1

Individual

  • at least 5 days of activity
  • at least 6000 total points

Clan: in addition to the above individual requirements

  • at least 60,000 total points
  • at least 5 greenie captures

Rewards: 1 mace, 2 virtuals + colors, 1 clan war card

Level 2

Individual

  • at least 10 days of activity
  • at least 12,000 total points

Clan: in addition to the above individual requirements

  • at least 120,000 total points
  • at least 10 greenie captures

Rewards: 1 longsword, 1 Trojan Unicorn, 4 virtuals + colors

Level 3

  • at least 50 greenie captures

Level 6

  • at least 25 days of activity
  • at least 500,000 total points
  • at least 10 QRewzees/Sleepzees
  • at least 3 opened QRates

Clan: in addition to the above individual requirements

  • at least 3,000,000 total points
  • at least 100 greenie captures

Rewards: 1 set of Flat Friends, 7 virtuals + colors

June Badges

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. There will be a total of 6 badges available in June. The first badge will appear as follows:

June 2023 Skin: Unicorn Hedge

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into June with your desired Hedges! The skin for completing your May capture streak (and the corresponding badge), which is the Fish Garden Hedge shown below, will be awarded in early June. But, we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store for next month!

May Hedge Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Hedge yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $8.

How to have a permanent Hedge on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 Hedges by the end of the year
    • Each month, the price of a Hedge will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 Hedge every 28 days.

Also, don’t forget that Reseller Garden Hedges have arrived!  These unique munzee types are only available for purchase from participating Munzee Resellers, so shop now!

June Hedge Details

What Hedge Skin can you look forward to earning in June? The Unicorn Garden Hedge! Like the other hedges, the Unicorn Garden Hedge is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as players with permanent Garden Hedges continue to use it.

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Overall deploy badges — the more hedges you deploy, the merrier!
  • Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned hedge!
  • Overall capture badges — capture as many hedges as you can find!

Meet…PR1NC3SS Lou-a!

By this point, we’ve all become very acquainted with the metallic Mech himself, D4RTH Vardeman. But, every dark lord needs a light lady – and that’s where PR1NC3SS Lou-a comes in! This pink princess keeps D4RTH Vardeman in line, and looks FABULOUS while doing it! She is currently $7.50 and she’s available NOW! PR1NC3SS Lou-a will be leaving the store on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at 12:00 MHQ, so don’t wait! Purchasing will auto-deploy this mech and give you the blueprint for you to craft next time!
