Best Dressed Fall into Spring Events Contest Details!

With the first Fall into Spring events kicking off this weekend*, we can’t wait to see how players celebrate the change in season! Similar to last year’s 8zees Best Dressed Contest, the event host will choose a winner at each event based on best themed attire. Event attendees will have 2 of 3 outfit options:

  • if it’s Spring where the event is being held, consider dressing in a Spring-themed outfit, e.g. florals, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, etc.
  • likewise, if it’ll be Fall where the event is being held, consider dressing in a Fall-themed outfit, e.g. leaves, golden and jewel tones, in-season fruits and vegetables
  • if you’re game for a more challenging option, consider dressing as one of the Mythological Munzees, such as those that appear on the Fall into Spring Event Package badges, or take inspiration from our staff members below!

It’s the event hosts’ responsibility to decide which attendee will win the Best Dressed badge. In order to earn the special badge for winning this costume contest, the event host must submit an entry to our Google Form, which we will provide to each host. Unfortunately we will not be able to award any Best Dressed badges without a form submission, so be sure to get them in! You can see the artwork for the badge below!

Featuring another ethereal goddess, Trish, who is responsible for a lot of our event artwork! She and Louise are a dynamic Event Goddess duo!

We’ll share some of our favorite player outfits to the official Munzee social media pages throughout March and April, but the badge will not be awarded until after the events have wrapped up. Then we’ll add all of the winners to a gallery on the Munzee Blog to announce when the badge has been awarded!

Don’t forget there’s still time to purchase Fall into Spring Event Packages, but Trish’s diary is filling up so if you want custom artwork you better act fast! Remember that we’ve extended the period for Fall into Spring Events up to and including the month of May! For those hosting events in the coming weeks please remember to use caution and follow local guidelines in regards to health concerns.

We’re Ready To FALL Into SPRING With NEW Event Packages!

It’s time to FALL Into SPRING! No matter what hemisphere you live in, we’re celebrating both Spring and Fall with Munzee Events this season. We have four different “Fall Into Spring” Event packages to choose from!

Remember before you purchase your package you’ll need to add your event to the Munzee Event Calendar! Never hosted an event before? Fear not! For complete help with hosting your own Munzee Event, you can visit the Help Guide! 

Fall Into Spring Event packages will be available in the Freeze Tag Online Store as of the publication of the blog. However, they are only applicable to events occurring from March 17 to April 19. It’s important to purchase a package as soon as possible so that you can let us know your art request if you’re purchasing a package containing a badge and icon.

Each package features a unique host badge for themed fun, with each badge (pictured above) depending on which package is purchased. The package options are:

All packages also contain an Attendee Badge. Take your Fall Into Spring Event to the next level with additional add-ons that you can purchase through the Munzee Events Team. We’ve cleaned up our list of offerings so be sure to check out https://calendar.munzee.com/pricing to see what’s available including the ALL NEW EventPak! Once you purchase your package reply directly to the “Event Package Added” email you receive and the Event Team will help you with add-on items.

Best Dressed Christmas Event Contest Entries Gallery

We’ve been loving all the pictures from players at events this month! Seeing smiling faces in such cold weather speaks to how dedicated our community is.

To make sure we haven’t missed any entries for our Best Dressed Contest so far, we’ve decided to collect them all here. Photos are ordered by event time, event title, and lastly, by username. We’ll be updating this post periodically, so make sure to check back here later!

Please contact iloveyou@munzee.com if you had made a social post more than a week ago, but don’t see your photo here. A direct link to your post will make it easy for us to confirm! If you’ve followed our directions, perhaps your post has privacy settings that prevent us from seeing it.

Best Dressed Christmas Event Contest Details!

Let’s see that winter western wear! 

Our Ho Ho Hoedown Christmas events will be kicking off in less than two weeks! So as you’re all preparing to host and attend your festive Munzee Events we wanted to offer some more details about our Best Dressed competition!

In previous years we’ve asked players to show up in their dodgiest jumpers and one lucky attendee would be chosen winner by the host of that event. Well this year we’re shaking it up a bit in hopes to spread the word about our Ho Ho Hoedowns! 

In order to earn this year’s Best Dressed badge you’ll need to share an image of yourself at a Munzee Event in a holiday outfit. Whether that’s a dodgy jumper, a festive Father Christmas getup, or even a superb Snowman suit is entirely up to you! We’ll accept submissions through Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter! In order to win you have to include your username, the event name/location, the hashtag #HoHoHoedown, and tag Munzee. Please note that Christmas events don’t start until December!

As long as you follow the rules and put forth some effort, you’ll be awarded the Best Dressed Christmas badge. This year’s Best Dressed Winners will be awarded this badge featuring the most Christmassy Cowboy in town!

Christmas Events Are Heralding a Ho Ho Hoedown!

It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year! It may seem a bit early, but who doesn’t love to bask in the warm glow of the holidays?! This year we’re happy to offer 4 different package options for Christmas Events to best meet your event hosting needs and budget. And we’re happy to announce that this year’s theme taps into our proud Texas roots. Who’s ready for a Ho Ho Hoedown?!

Never hosted an event before? Fear not! For complete help with hosting your own Munzee Event, you can visit the Help Guide! Christmas Event packages will be available in the Freeze Tag Online Store as of the publication of the blog. However, they are only applicable to events occurring from December 1 to December 31. It’s important to purchase a package as soon as possible so that you can let us know your art request if you’re purchasing a package containing a badge and icon.

All packages also contain an Attendee Badge. You can include an Emerald add on for $20*, an option available for any of the 4 packages. In addition, there will be the opportunity to earn a special badge for dressing up in your best dodgy jumpers or holiday attire! As we get closer to the Christmas Events starting, we’ll have more details about the costume contest, so stay tuned for that fun information!

Birthday Coinz and more!

We’re proud to announce the release of a limited number of 6th Birthday Comic Book Special coinz! These golden brass coins look awesome and are a great keepsake from a SUPER month. Those in attendance of our MHQ Birthday Bash will be the first to to have the chance to buy them, so be sure to RSVP.

Along with the Birthday coinz we are also releasing a Recycle coin and a ZeeOps coin. Remember you can use coinz to track specific munzee captures which is perfect when hunting recycles or completing ZeeOps missions. The Recycle coin features the Munzee Recycle icon and the ZeeOps coin features the ZeeOps logo inlaid upon a super unique white metal. Both are great additions to any coin collection!

All three coinz will be available on Friday at MHQ Birthday Bash, but will then be for sale to the public Monday at 3 PM CST. Everyone should be on the lookout for even more items on sale Monday too!

We hope to see a bunch of our players at the event tomorrow, but either way we hope you all enjoy these awesome keepsakes!

Submit Your Pictures for Our Spectacular 6th Birthday Gallery!

Last year, we asked you to share your pictures from birthday events and Munzee outings during Birthday Month. We had a great response and put together a gallery showing off the events and players that make this game and community amazing. This year, we want to make an even better one!

If you have a picture (or pictures) that you would like added to our Spectacular 6th Birthday Photo Gallery, send an email to iloveyou@munzee.com with the subject “6th Birthday Gallery”. Please include the following:

  • The high quality photo(s)
  • Your username and real name
  • A description of the photo(s)

These pictures can be of events, scenic views from munzee locations, or fun things you find while searching for munzees during Birthday Month. We will publish the gallery and continue adding to it throughout the month.

We can’t wait to see what you submit!

A Big Thank You from Team Munzee

Before we get too far into the month, Team Munzee would like thank our players.

First, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate at MHQ Birthday Bash with us. We had a great time at some amazing events, and it’s all possible because of you. The first ever “Shindig” badge was awarded for an event with over 150 attendees, and it was awarded multiple times. It’s amazing to see how much our community and events have grown. Now we have to push for 200 and more!

Secondly, to all of our players, thank you. Thank you for playing Munzee. Thank you for growing the map and the community by introducing new people to our crazy world. Thank you for helping us make Munzee better every day with your suggestions and ideas. All that we do, we do for you.

We hope you’re enjoying the Birthday Specials so far, and we’ve got a lot of other things planned for the month.

Thanks for making our first five years so memorable. Here’s to many more!
