Introducing the Dodecahedron! A NEW Storyland Myth!

Hear ye, hear ye! We’re excited to announce our LAST birthday surprise! He’s got eyes, and teeth… and more eyes – oh my! He’s the NEW Storyland Myth: the Dodecahedron! The Dodecahedron is an homage to the famous creature of tabletop gaming lore! This monstrosity will be available for $20 – watch out for his tentacles… and teeth… and tongue – actually just WATCH OUT! NEW Dodecahedron Details

Like the other Mythological Munzees, the Dodecahedron is a permanent POB. It is the 5th of a NEW Storyland line of Myths, so expect to see more creative creatures in the future!

Landing Pads

You can find these terrifying tentacles crawling to the landing pads above every 12 hours or when captured.

The Dodecahedron will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Dodecahedron on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Dodecahedron visits you. Dodecahedrons are non-blastable. They will be attracted to Magnets. You can access them by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When a Dodecahedron is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Deyes.

These scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Dodecahedron’s owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

Meet…the Owlbear! A NEW Storyland Myth!

Hey everyone! We’re excited to announce the launch of our NEW Storyland Myth: the Owlbear! The Owlbear is a staple in many fantasy stories, and we can’t wait to bring it into the Munzee universe! This ferocious fusion will be available for $20 – good luck taming this beast! This is a limited time sale and will be removed from the store in two weeks on Thursday, June 29th at 12:00 MHQ. Click HERE to grab one!

Like the other Mythological Munzees, the Owlbear is a permanent POB. Following the Jabberwock and the Treefolk, it is the 4th of a NEW Storyland line of Myths, so expect to see more creative creatures in the future!

Need Help Putting Up the Christmas Lights? Zeus is Your Man!

For the most wonderful time of the year, it sure is a lot of work! Especially if you make the effort to decorate the exterior of your home with colorful Christmas lights — it is not only a veritable workout but also a potentially dangerous task. So if you’d prefer to pass the task off to a professional this year, you’ll be in good hands with this newest Modern Myth!

Zeus will be available for sale starting at 15:00 MHQ time today until 12:00 MHQ time on Dec 6!

Zeus Details

The Zeus Modern Myth will be available for purchase HERE! He will be spotted bouncing around to Greenies, Topazes, Electric Mysteries, Yellow, Orange, and Light Green Colored Virtuals*, Treehouses, and Skylands every 12 hours or when capped.

Each Zeus is numbered and will be owned by a Munzee player. You can pick this Myth up for $20! The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership. Only ONE (1) Zeus is allowed per account.

  • CapOn: 100

In keeping with the Modern Myth line, when he is captured 3 new munzees will also be scattered nearby — these will either be Lightning Bolts or Multimeters!

These will scatter like feathers so there are no CapOn points but they are worth 50 points for capture!

Zeus is able to be upgraded via a Bouncer Upgrade Credit, which gives the ability to be “nudged” or be renamed. The upgrade credit will give you the ability to “nudge” your Zeus to a new munzee up to three times a day, following the MHQ 24-hour day, after it has been on its host munzee for at least three hours. This nudging ability is only available for the owner via the munzee’s webpage and is not available in the app.

Your munzee will still retain its unique number, but feel free to get creative when it comes to renaming your Zeus! Just be sure to follow the Player Code of Conduct, and remember Munzee maintains a family-friendly environment.

If you’re hoping to cap one of these brand new Modern Myths, then you’re in luck! Zeus will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Munzee Magnets. You can access Zeus by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” and “All Mythological” filters.

If Classical Literacy Goes Up, Hades Comes to Town!

Books have always been an escape, and we’re sure many of you have turned to them to occupy your mind the past year. However, we all know ideas can be dangerous. So if you’ve been reading any banned books, this newest Modern Myth may show up to incinerate them — you have been warned!

Hades will be available for sale starting at 15:00 MHQ time today until 15:00 MHQ time on May 12!

Hades Details

The Hades Modern Myth will be available for purchase HERE! He will be spotted bouncing around to Greenies, Fire Mysteries, Gray, Black, and Dark Blue Colored Virtuals*, Citrines, Treehouses, and Skylands every 12 hours or when capped.

Each Hades is numbered and will be owned by a Munzee player. You can pick this Myth up for $20! The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership. Only ONE (1) Hades is allowed per account.

Fancy Flat Friends are Going Ghost!

After 3 Flat Day the 13ths, haven’t you ever wondered what happened to the Flat Friends you weren’t able to save? That’s right — they become Phantom Flats. As Fancy Flat Lou was just released a few months ago, we hope it’ll be a while before we see her Phantom Flat counterpart — but you never know…

Phantom Flats

Like the RetireMyths and Zombie Pouch Creatures before them, these game pieces will join the map once any Fancy Flat owned by an Inactive or Retired account has been archived. These munzees will roam the map at certain times, and are worth 500 points upon first capture, with the point value decreasing by 1 point per each subsequent capture of the unique Phantom Flat.

NEW RetireMyth

Joining her sisters, the physical and virtual Nymph RetireMyth is now eligible to appear.

As a reminder, RetireMyths are not attracted to magnets, and they land on the same type of Munzee as their regular counterpart. RetireMyths will be worth 500 points upon first cap and 1 point less for each cap that follows.

NEW Zombie Pouch Creatures

Last but certainly not least, Elekter, Magnetus, Pimedus, and Puffle now have Zombie Pouch Creature variants!

As a reminder, Zombie Pouch Creatures are not attracted to magnets, and they land on the same type of Munzee as their regular counterpart. Zombie Pouch Creatures will be worth 500 points upon first cap and 1 point less for each cap that follows. Please note that Zombie Pouch Creatures will NOT level up into their other forms.

All the activity that’s been brewing in the Munzee oceans has attracted the notice of the king of the sea, Poseidon! He kicks off an all new line of munzees that we’re calling Modern Myths, which our WallaBee friends should recognize!

Poseidon will be available for sale starting at 10:00 MHQ time today until 10:00 MHQ time on June 15th!

Poseidon Details

The Poseidon Modern Myth will be available for purchase HERE! He will be spotted bouncing around to Greenies, Water Mysteries, Blue Colored Virtuals*, Aquamarines, Treehouses, and Skylands every 12 hours or when capped.

Each Poseidon is numbered and will be owned by a Munzee player. You can pick this Myth up for $20! The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership. Only ONE (1) Poseidon is allowed per account.

What makes a Modern Myth modern? Well aside from his day job as a lifeguard, what also makes Poseidon unique is that when he is captured 3 new munzees will also be scattered nearby — these will either be Tridents or Lifebuoys!

These will scatter like feathers so there are no CapOn points but they are worth 50 points for capture!

Poseidon is able to be upgraded via a Bouncer Upgrade Credit, which gives the ability to be “nudged” or be renamed. The upgrade credit will give you the ability to “nudge” your Poseidon to a new munzee up to three times a day, following the MHQ 24-hour day, after it has been on its host munzee for at least three hours. If you missed our post yesterday, we gave a preview of everything we’ve prepared for our ZEE-Dayz weekend! However, since the festivities start NOW we thought it’d be a good idea to give you a rundown. But first, let’s start with some totally new information!
