Introducing the Pirate Nomad!

When the Jewel Thief Nomad started traveling the world in search of jewels to steal in February, he paved the way for some of the less wholesome Nomads. After being followed by the Bellhop Nomad in March, it seems another has decided to set sail. Pirate Nomads have charted courses for RUMs around the world and are about to begin their journeys.

Starting tomorrow (April 4th) at 10:00 MHQ time, 10 Pirate Nomads will begin bouncing on Reseller Unique Munzees (RUMs) every 12 hours or when captured. Like other Nomads, you will earn 100 points for capture of a Pirate Nomad and the owner of the host RUM will earn 20 points.

These badges will also count towards the Nomad Munzee Badge Line.

The Blog is Back and Has a Guest

First off, we want to thank you for your patience over the past few days. Scott and Daniel, along with our AWS partner, have been working nonstop to get everything back up and running properly.

As you can imagine, Rob is a bit worn out after this week and is ready for a break. He can’t just step away, though, so he’s leaving Flat Rob to look over the map. Starting tomorrow (March 3rd) at 00:01 MHQ time, Flat Robs will be on the map. This will last through Sunday, March 5th, at 23:59 MHQ time.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE.

Flat Rob didn’t want to leave the map, so we bargained with him. Flat Robs will be on the map the following two weekends as well. They will appear from:

  • March 9th at 00:01 MHQ time through March 12th at 23:59 MHQ time
  • March 17th at 15:00 MHQ time through March 19th at 23:59 MHQ time

Since the blog has been down we’ve had some new things released so for information check out the following blogs;

Thanks again for your support and for sticking with us. We know this ordeal has been a bit painful, but it has all been minor growing pains to help the games and platforms.

Introducing the Bellhop Nomad!

While you’ve all been busy capturing the treacherous Jewel Thief on precious stones all month, a new stealthy fella is roaming the halls of Hotels and Motels worldwide. He claims he’s just here to help you with your bags though, so be sure to leave a tip for the new Bellhop Nomad Munzee!

10 Bellhop Nomads are now bouncing on Motel and Hotel Munzees every 12 hours or until captured. Note that the Bellhop only bounces to physical Destination Munzees though, so it will not fall on Virtual Resort Munzees.

These nomads will count toward the new Nomad Badges that were recently released as well.

Points:
Capture – 100
CapOn (for host) – 20

Since capping a Motel/Hotel usually means multiple caps and also a deploy if there are rooms left, we figured we’d go ahead and answer a few questions that might pop up:

1) What happens if I cap a Bellhop Nomad on an already capped Motel/Hotel?
You will get the points for the Bellhop Nomad, but you won’t get caps for the rooms again.

2) What happens if I cap a Bellhop Nomad on a not yet capped Motel/Hotel?
You’ll cap the Motel/Hotel as a nomad and additionally cap the rooms like you would have normally.

3) What if there are rooms available?
You’ll deploy a room like normal, as long as you do not already have a room since this would be case 1.

Mystery Nomads Are on the Map!

When we released the original nomads, it was always our intention to expand the lines of them. Now, we have.

MysteryNomad

The Mystery Nomad lands on Mystery and Mini Mystery Munzees (physicals only). They bounce with the same frequency as Physical and Virtual Nomads (every 12 hours or when capped). There will be a 50-100 point split between the capper and the host with a minimum of 25 points.

There are now 10 Mystery Nomads out, and they can be seen with other specials at www.munzee.com/specials. We’ve also increased the number of Physical and Virtual Nomads to 10 each. We hope you enjoy these changes. Munzee on!
