Celebrate 9th Birthday Events at Camp Munzee!

Howdy everyone! July 2020 is our 9th birthday and we want to celebrate with YOU at Camp Munzee! We’ll have more details about all sorts of fun birthday surprises in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

This year we’re going to do it in a slightly different way with player events. All events that take place between July 1st and September 9th will receive a special Camp Munzee Camper badge for players. Event hosts will also receive the Camp Munzee Counselor badge for hosting an event during this timeframe.

There will be no special event packages during this time however you are still able to add a custom icon and badge to your event. Louise is ready to work with hosts to customize their events so please get your events on the calendar and setup your basic event package!

There is one special new munzee that will only be available to purchase for event accounts! The brand new limited edition Event Greeting Card! For the 9th birthday events these cards will cost $9.99 for 40 cards! Contact Louise to order for your event!

As always please respect your local guidelines for social distancing and safety. We hope a 9 week period for our 9th birthday events gives more people a chance to host, attend and earn the badges.

On Saturday we posted the entries we’ve received for Fall into Spring Best Dressed so far! As social media posts limit the amount of characters we can use, we wanted to take this opportunity to expand on a few points, and display the usernames of the featured players as well. If you’ll be attending an event soon and need a refresher, our requirements for Fall into Spring Best Dressed nominations were released on the blog post HERE. As you can see, these players have met those requirements by dressing according to the season at their event, and there’s even a fun Leprechaun costume!

You’ll also notice that these photos were either taken at a distance, taken at a distance and zoomed in, or were self-taken (selfie!). This is a great example of how Munzee event hosts and attendees are being sensitive to and complying with current orders regarding COVID-19. Everybody’s situation is different, and while many hosts have (understandably) rescheduled their events, there have also been great new event ideas from hosts who’ve decided to stick to their event dates while altering the format of their events for safety purposes. We will be releasing a new Event Spotlight post this week featuring such an event, so stay tuned!

As a reminder, to thank our event hosts for working with us during these confusing times we put together a special badge just for them. The Untimely Unicorn badge was awarded to all Fall into Spring Hosts earlier in the month, which we announced on our social media accounts (Facebook | Twitter | Instagram). Thank you again to everyone for their patience!

8zees Best Dressed Rock the 80s!

Munzee’s 8th birthday means 8 weeks of 8zees birthday events as players turn back time to relive the 80s! We told you to show up in your best 80s attire, because the host at each event has the ability to select a winner to be awarded our Best Dressed badge.
