June 2023 Skin: Unicorn Hedge

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into June with your desired Hedges! The skin for completing your May capture streak (and the corresponding badge), which is the Fish Garden Hedge shown below, will be awarded in early June. But, we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store for next month!

May Hedge Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Hedge yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $8.

How to have a permanent Hedge on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 Hedges by the end of the year
    • Each month, the price of a Hedge will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 Hedge every 28 days.

Also, don’t forget that Reseller Garden Hedges have arrived!  These unique munzee types are only available for purchase from participating Munzee Resellers, so shop now!

June Hedge Details

What Hedge Skin can you look forward to earning in June? The Unicorn Garden Hedge! Like the other hedges, the Unicorn Garden Hedge is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as players with permanent Garden Hedges continue to use it.

These hedge scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Overall deploy badges — the more hedges you deploy, the merrier!

  • Overall capture badges — capture as many hedges as you can find!

Meet…PR1NC3SS Lou-a!

By this point, we’ve all become very acquainted with the metallic Mech himself, D4RTH Vardeman. But, every dark lord needs a light lady – and that’s where PR1NC3SS Lou-a comes in! This pink princess keeps D4RTH Vardeman in line, and looks FABULOUS while doing it! She is currently $7.50 and she’s available NOW! PR1NC3SS Lou-a will be leaving the store on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at 12:00 MHQ, so don’t wait! Purchasing will auto-deploy this mech and give you the blueprint for you to craft next time! Secret ZeeOps – Operation: Cosmic Cowboy! (May 2023)

Saddle up Agents! An ALL NEW Secret ZeeOps is now available in the app ZeeOps Hub for the usual cost of 1,500 Zeds. For now, it is available for purchase NOW until 23:59 MHQ on June 30. If you’ve purchased a Secret ZeeOp, you will be able to complete it and collect rewards even after it is no longer available for purchase.

Hop on your horse and get ready to charge into adventure! Need some more details, partner? Well, we have received a distress signal from a lunar space station! Our comms team believes the S.O.S. has been redirected from a distant planet and we need you to investigate. The call for help has been coded, so you’ll need to keep a low profile as you investigate the situation. Complete a variety of missions to unlock levels to complete the Operation! If you complete ALL the missions in Operation: Cosmic Cowboy!, you’ll receive the snazzy badge below, along with the C++B1SCU1T Mech (more info below!) and various other rewards listed in the app!

There are 3 levels. Level 1 has 3 missions, Level 2 has 6 missions, and Level 3 has 6 missions. Each level ends with more prizes.

Like the other Munzee Mechz, C++B1SCU1T is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until it has been captured 15 times.

Welcome, CuppaZee!

We have some VERY exciting news here at MHQ that we can’t wait to share! We’re sure you all know and LOVE the amazing app, CuppaZee – and we do too! The creator, Sam Hindess, is doing AMAZING things over there, and his dedication to Munzee and CuppaZee is super inspiring. With all that being said, we’re extremely happy to announce that Sam and CuppaZee are now officially joining the Freeze Tag Family!

Sam started playing Munzee in 2013, being an avid Munzee player for almost a decade before joining Freeze Tag. For over half of that time playing, Sam had been developing CuppaZee, initially a 3rd party companion website (and later mobile app) for the game, regularly expanding its feature set based on the wants and needs of other players.

The CuppaZee app allows Munzee players to track their daily activity and ZeeOps progress, as well as keep track of items in their inventory and the locations of their bouncers. These features have become invaluable to the thousands of players who utilize the app!

This partnership between CuppaZee and Munzee will allow us to bring some very cool updates to you in the near future, so keep an eye out!

And now, a word from Sam:

“It’s awesome to have CuppaZee finally joining the Munzee family. I’m excited to be part of the Freeze Tag Team and look forward to seeing what brilliant ideas we can achieve together in the future!”

How the Dark Side Mailbox Works

Starting Thursday, May 4 at 00:01 MHQ, each day you cap your Dark Side Mailbox you will be awarded a different Scrap Wars themed Greeting Card capture, similar to the other mailboxes. Please note that you’ll only be able to earn that specific card on that day, so you really don’t want to miss a day. The Dark Side Mailbox is available for $25 and includes the following:

  • 1 Dark Side Mailbox Munzee to deploy and move around anywhere at anytime!
  • 1 Daily Capture of the mailbox each MHQ day starting on April 20th or when first deployed, which should help with keeping up your streaks!
  • 28 Mailbox Prize Days starting on May 4th and ending on May 31st, which will deliver the goodies below when captured, including Cards, Zeds, Munzees to deploy and more!

Like the other Munzee Mechz, the D4RTH Vardeman is a temporary POB. The D4RTH Vardeman will remain on the map until it has been captured 10 times, as you can see below. You will receive a fully-built D4RTH Vardeman that will auto-deploy on your account when the mailbox is captured on May 4th. You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future. It will cost 18 Cogs to rebuild this mech.

Cube Your Cubimals!

Remember when those cute Cubimals were stuck in QRates and we needed your help to get them out? How many have you saved? If you were diligently freeing them from their prisons all along, it’s time to collect your dues as the QRate-cracking, Cubimal-saving hero that you truly are! To celebrate the anniversary of their launch almost 2 years ago today, we’re bouncing with excitement to announce a long awaited and requested feature to give Cubimals new life!

Starting April 1 at 12:00 MHQ, you will be able to combine Mini Cubimals into temporary Cubimal Bouncers! How do you make a larger, more powerful cube? Combine them together of course! Since it takes 8 cubes to make a larger 2x2x2 cube, you’ll need 8 Mini Cubimals of the same type to turn it into a temporary Cubimal Bouncer. Each time the bouncer is captured a mini cube is consumed and will expire after 8 captures total. We’re curious to hear your feedback on the soft launch of these Cubimal Bouncers!

Secret ZeeOps- Operation: House Hunter! (March 2023)

All caught up with Secret ZeeOps and looking for more? There’s a new one available in the app ZeeOps Hub for the usual cost of 1,500 Zeds. For now, it will be available for purchase until 23:59 MHQ on April 30. If you’ve purchased a Secret ZeeOp, you will be able to complete it and collect rewards even after it is no longer available for purchase.

Some might say this mystery is a bit…twisted, more specifically a twister has ravaged a small Kansas farm! Reports say newly formed emerald crystallizations lead to a world filled with wonder! You must venture into an emerald city, traverse a golden bricked road, and investigate the trail of devastation left in the wake of a mysterious vigilante named Dorothy! Complete a variety of missions to unlock levels to complete the Operation. If you complete ALL the missions in Operation: House Hunter!, you’ll receive the snazzy badge below, along with the TWiST3D SiST3R Mech (more info below!) and various other rewards listed in the app!

Landing Pads

You can find this deplorable dwelling falling on landing pads above every 6 hours or when captured.

TWiST3D SiST3R will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture TWiST3D SiST3R on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same TWiST3D SiST3R visits you. TWiST3D SiST3R is non-blastable. She will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access TWiST3D SiST3R by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When TWiST3D SiST3R is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Psyclones on the Mech owner’s account.

These scatters will be visible to any player and expire after 120 minutes. They have a capture radius of 300 feet. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

There is also a badge for capturing TWiST3D SiST3R. Since there’s only one badge in this line, we’ll keep it a secret for now.
