Greeting Card Details:

The Hug Your Cat Card will be a Limited Edition card, while the Early Bird and Night Owl cards will be Open Edition, which means that they are always available!

Greeting Cards will appear on the map as the base envelope icon below. Once you cap it, you’ll be able to see which type of Greeting Card you received — just like opening an envelope in real life!

If you see the envelope pin below on the map near you, make sure to cap it right away — you don’t want your Munzee friends to feel ignored! The Greeting Card munzee will be archived 7 days after it is deployed. All greeting cards are available for ALL players to capture.

Flat DHS Scatters Return for VCR Day 2023!

On June 7th, VCR Day is celebrated, paying homage to the iconic video cassette recorder! In this age of streaming services and digital media, VCRs hold a special place in our hearts, reminding us of simpler times when we eagerly anticipated rewinding our favorite movies or recording TV shows for later enjoyment. Our Flat DHS Scatter Event for VCR Day 2023 seeks to honor this beloved technology by bringing back the Flat DHS scatters for a short time!

Limited Time Scatter Details

From the period of Wednesday, June 7th at 12:00 MHQ through Sunday, June 11 at 23:59 MHQ, when you capture a Flat DHS, up to 3 Tapes may be scattered nearby!

As before, the Tapes will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flat DHS owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well! These tape scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Tapes are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 25 points

Introducing the Flat Cup!

With the exciting announcement of Sam and CuppaZee joining the Freeze Tag family, we figured it was time for a CuppaZee-inspired Flat Object! So sit back, relax, and enjoy a nice cup of coffee while reading up on this new Flat!

Sam’s Flat Object is inspired by the logo of CuppaZee…a cup of coffee! Those late nights coding the Munzee companion app are powered by caffeine and sweat, so what better representation of the hardworking Sam? Read on to learn more!

Flat Cup Details

The Flat Cup joins the Flats as a virtual type. It is currently available in the Freeze Tag Store HERE!

Capture Radius: 300 feet, blastable

Proximity: 50 feet from other players’ Flats, 150 feet from your own.

Deploy: 19 points

Capture: Split 95 points with a minimum of 19 Points

CapOn: Split 95 points with a minimum of 19 Points

Home, Home on ZEE Range!

Ahhh… the life of the a farmer. Waking up, surveying your crops, and tending to your animals. Sounds great to us! Since we can’t all lead a simple life on the farm, we’re bringing the farm life straight to your phone with our NEW Home on ZEE Range specials! You’ll encounter Flat frogs, and dogs, and squirrels – oh my! This furry special is inspired by our beloved Product Manager, Robbie – who always seems to have an assortment of interesting creatures at his house! Starting NOW, these farm friends will bounce around the map until June 25, 2023 at 23:59 MHQ

Two different Base Farm specials will bounce around the map, 1 physical and 1 virtual, as seen above.

Home on ZEE Range Specials

These finicky farm friends will be released in waves, but will end at a total of 1500 Flat Fields and 1500 Flat Farms. They will bounce around on the map every 3 hours or when captured. Though there will only be one icon shown on the map, at launch there are a possibility of 4 different Flat Farm Animal icons for each (a total of 8 different results) revealed after this special is captured.

You can find these Flats at the following munzees near you:

Both of the Home On ZEE Range specials will be worth 150 points for the Capture and 50 points for the CapOn, so you don’t want to miss out! Flat Field will be attracted to Physical Magnets, while Flat Farm will be attracted to Virtual Magnets. To access these specials, please turn on your “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters.

Capturing a Flat Farm or Flat Field will reveal one of the farm inhabitants inside! At launch you can expect to see the Flat Doxy and a couple characters in the badges below, but we’ll keep the rest of the farm friends a secret for now! More types of animals will appear as the month goes on, so make sure to keep an eye out!

June 2023 Clan Wars Requirements

It’s almost June! You’ll find all the latest details to our clan requirements and rewards in the clan section of our app.
It is possible that we could update clan requirements prior to June 3 and reserve the right to do so. The final requirements and rewards will always be shown in the app. We plan some scheduled maintenance to occur during June. We will announced it in advance and adjust clan requirements as necessary if there is any substantial downtime for gameplay.

We recommend the CuppaZee app and website for additional tracking of clan stats and daily gameplay!

June ClanPak

There is a limit of one per player per product/month. You can purchase the June ClanPak HERE! This is NOT a subscription program.

Level 1

Individual

  • at least 5 days of activity
  • at least 6000 total points

Clan: in addition to the above individual requirements

  • at least 60,000 total points
  • at least 5 greenie captures

Rewards: 1 mace, 2 virtuals + colors, 1 clan war card

Level 2

Individual

  • at least 10 days of activity
  • at least 12,000 total points

Clan: in addition to the above individual requirements

Rewards: 1 set of Flat Friends, 7 virtuals + colors

June Badges

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. There will be a total of 6 badges available in June. The first badge will appear as follows:

Meet…PR1NC3SS Lou-a!

By this point, we’ve all become very acquainted with the metallic Mech himself, D4RTH Vardeman. But, every dark lord needs a light lady – and that’s where PR1NC3SS Lou-a comes in! This pink princess keeps D4RTH Vardeman in line, and looks FABULOUS while doing it! She is currently $7.50 and she’s available NOW! PR1NC3SS Lou-a will be leaving the store on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at 12:00 MHQ, so don’t wait! Purchasing will auto-deploy this mech and give you the blueprint for you to craft next time! PR1NC3SS Lou-a Mech Details

Like the other Munzee Mechz, she is a temporary POB. PR1NC3SS Lou-a will remain on the map until she has been captured 5 times. You will receive the Blueprint to rebuild her when you have earned enough Cogs in the future. It will cost 7 Cogs to rebuild this mech.

Landing Pads

You can find this mechanical maven at the landing pads above every 6 hours or when captured.

PR1NC3SS Lou-a will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture PR1NC3SS Lou-a on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same PR1NC3SS Lou-a visits you. PR1NC3SS Lou-a is non-blastable. She will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access it by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When PR1NC3SS Lou-a is captured, she will scatter up to 3 Bike Buns!

Points
  • Capture: 50
  • CapOn: 25-30

These scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Mech owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

Deploying PR1NC3SS Lou-a will earn you the corresponding Blueprint badge, which you can see below. There is also a badge that you can earn by capturing PR1NC3SS Lou-a — but we’ll keep it a secret for now.

May 2023 GOTM Winners

May GOTM

This month saw a lot of awesome submissions, but ultimately, we narrowed it down to these two lovely gardens! Remember that all winning GOTM organizers and all players who deployed in the winning gardens will be awarded special badges for their contribution to growing the map. This month we’re happy to award the Save The Monarchs Garden, designed by Jeffeth, and the Honey Bee Garden designed by Belugue, as our winning May GOTM! Our motto for this month’s winners is, “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!”

Badge Requirements and Rewards

We know making it out to Mega events can take planning, traveling, and lots of energy so we want to reward those of you who go the extra mile! Below are the requirements and rewards for each badge. These badges aren’t just for this year either, so even if you can’t make it out to every Mega Event you’ll still be able to earn these as time goes on.

Something to keep in mind – you can only get these badges from scanning the main Mega Event pin. So be sure to look for the events with the black border to identify official Mega Events on the Munzee Calendar.
