You’ll need a Munzdalorian Mailbox Munzee to receive your rewards! This retro spaceship might seem similar to another 80s pop culture icon, but our mail delivery droid retrofit it to travel across galaxies (and timezones) far, far away in order to make deliveries this time around! This motored mailer will deliver virtual items to Mailbox owners starting on May 4th, 2024, but you’ll be able to start earning daily points as soon as you deploy it.

How the Munzdalorian Mailbox Works

Starting Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 00:01 MHQ, each day you cap your Munzdalorian Mailbox you will be awarded a different Scrap Wars themed Greeting Card capture, similar to the other mailboxes. Please note that you’ll only be able to earn that specific card on that day, so you really don’t want to miss a day. The Munzdalorian Mailbox is available for $25 and includes the following:

  • 1 Munzdalorian Mailbox Munzee to deploy and move around anywhere at anytime!
  • 1 Daily Capture of the mailbox each MHQ day starting on April 19th or when first deployed, which should help with keeping up your streaks!
  • 28 Mailbox Prize Days starting on May 4th and ending on May 31st, which will deliver the goodies below when captured, including Cards, Zeds, Munzees to deploy and more!
  • 28 Themed Greeting Cards to both CAPTURE and DEPLOY!
  • 1 ROBO F3TT Mech deployed when capturing the mailbox on May 4th

ROBO F3TT Mech

Beware the greatest bounty hunter bot the galaxy has ever seen: ROBO F3TT! Like the other Munzee Mechz, ROBO F3TT is a temporary POB. ROBO F3TT will remain on the map until it has been captured 10 times, as you can see below. You will receive a fully-built ROBO F3TT that will auto-deploy on your account when you capture your Mailbox on May 4th. You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future. It will cost 18 Cogs to rebuild this mech.

ROBO F3TT is non-blastable. It will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access it by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When a ROBO F3TT is captured, it will scatter up to 3 BOBA T3A.

We have 1 new Limited Edition card for your deploying pleasure – the Pot of Gold Card:

While this card does have the same point structure as other Limited Edition cards, it does have some key differences, so here’s a breakdown:

  • When captured, it will scatter up to 3 one Rainbow Zeds which award different amounts of Zeds, to both the capper and owner.  This has been edited after sale completed to show only one scatter. We delivered an additional 1 free card per card purchased after the sale completed.
  • You may remember the Rainbow Zeds were previously introduced from MOBs in the past
  • Instead of expiring 7 days after deploy, it will expire after 3 caps, to ensure that the Zeds are awarded
  • These cards will be sold in packs of 2, vs the usual 3 for Limited Edition cards
  • Limit 20 per player (a total of 40 cards)

You can only move the mailbox in app and do NOT need to undeploy first. We really don’t want you to miss out! It is very important you capture it each day.

The mailbox can be captured up to 1000 feet away and is found under the Virtuals filter but ONLY visible to the OWNER. It will be archived after it is March 18. Mega Events started with an absolute BLAST!

Today is a very special day — it’s Lou’s birthday! ?

? Happy birthday Lou! To celebrate, we wanted to look back at the recent Mega events, which were a smashing success thanks to her and all the hosts she coordinated with.

Mega Events started with an absolute BLAST, literally! The first Mega events, collectively called Munzee Mecca 2023, were held January 13-15 on the Space Coast of Florida. The event happened to coincide with SpaceX launching a Falcon Heavy rocket on the evening of the 15th, witnessed by many players still in the area.

 

Thank you to the team of hosts and sponsors for putting on a great series of events. The events were well attended with over 60 players including Flat Rob himself, and the Geocaching Vlogger.

We are looking forward to seeing other Mega events taking place around the world. Here is a list of confirmed Mega events throughout the rest of the year:

We’d love for you all to join these Mega events in person, but remember you can also take part in the fun by deploying Virtual Munzees around the event area. The Munzee Mecca attendees were certainly kept busy capping, and those CapOn points are a nice bonus too!

We greatly appreciate all of the hosts who helped us to reach this goal, and all of the attendees for making the events more vibrant and fun. As we promised in last year’s blog post, we’ve created exclusive bouncers for Perfect Hosts — those who’ve hosted a Monthly Munzee Event every month this year — and Perfect Attendees — those who’ve attended a Monthly Munzee Event every month this year. These bouncers will be added to your account sometime during the first week of January, along with the badges, which you can see below. Read on to find out more!

Flamingo Floatie Bouncer Details

To show our appreciation to the Perfect Hosts, we’ve created a unicorn that is sure to be the life of the party! The Unicorn Flamingo Floatie has on a tasteful amount of bling, and is ready to move to the music with its guests.

Similarly, we created the Flamingo Floatie for the Perfect Attendees — we thought it would be a fun variation on the flamingo that we haven’t yet done as a bouncer this year.

Below are the point values for both bouncers. As you can see, in addition to having a more complex design, the Unicorn Flamingo Floatie is also worth more points than the Flamingo Floatie by every measure — even when you compare their scatters that appear further down the post. Since the Perfect Hosts invested quite a lot of time and effort into hosting their events, we wanted their bouncer to be a bit more special and valuable.

  • Unicorn Flamingo Floatie:
    • Deploy: 500
    • Capture: 250
    • CapOn: 300
  • Flamingo Floatie:
    • Deploy: 250
    • Capture: 200
    • CapOn: 150

You can find these puffed up party favors floating at the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

Additionally, the Unicorn Flamingo Floatie will scatter up to 3 NEW Frozen Flocktails nearby when it is captured! Similarly, the Flamingo Floatie will scatter up to 3 NEW Flocktails nearby when it is captured!

These will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

  • Frozen Flocktails:
    • Capture: 50
    • CapOn: 50
  • Flocktails:
    • Capture: 35
    • CapOn: 25

These bouncers will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Unicorn Flamingo Floatie or Flamingo Floatie on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Unicorn Flamingo Floatie or Flamingo Floatie visits you. These bouncers are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access these bouncers by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

Badges

There are 4 badges you can earn related to these bouncers. Similar to the Garden Flamingos, they each have “Unique type deploy” and “Unique type capture” badges, which you can see below.

However, please note that these bouncers are NOT Garden Flamingos, so their captures will not contribute to the “Overall deploy” and “Overall capture” lines for Garden Flamingos.

Munzee Events in 2023 Follow-Up

As we mentioned in our social posts last week (FB | TWTR | IG), the theme for events this year is balloons! Not just the simple pear-shaped ones, but also balloon animals and other balloon art! We hope this gives you some ideas for decor, games, and more at your upcoming events — and if you’ve got a balloon animal kit somewhere in the garage or attic, now is the time to dust it off!

Merry Miser Mailbox Schedules

UPDATE: We had made some changes to how the ghost scatters work — originally, the Ghosts of Munzees Past were going to scatter from the mailbox directly. Later on, we decided to add the Ghost of Christmas Past as the main mailbox scatter, and then the Ghosts of Munzees Past scatter from it. Due to this change, it is now the Ghosts of Christmas Past that remain on the map for 120 hours, and as the 2nd-tier scatter, the Ghosts of Munzees Past only remain on the map for 2 hours. Moving forward, this is how you can expect the scatters to behave.

One especially good thing we learned from Sir Prize Santa is that knowing when the Double Point Weekends and Special Themed Scatter Events are is most helpful in deciding whether or not the mailbox is right for you. So, without further ado, here are the schedules for the Merry Miser Mailbox!

When you cap the Merry Miser Mailbox, up to 12 themed scatters will be deployed nearby. They expire 120 hours after they are deployed, to hopefully give you enough time to capture them all! While we’ll reveal the dates to help you plan, we’ll just reveal what will be scattering for the first event:
