Boxing Day 2018 Sale + Fancy Flat Rob Variants!

With Christmas in the rearview mirror, we’re excited to announce a Boxing Day Sale, which will go live TODAY at 12:00 MHQ. The sale will continue until 12:00 MHQ tomorrow. FANCY FLAT ROB:

After his stint as Flat Santa, Flat Rob thinks it’s time he step up his game! The new Fancy Flat Robs are bouncing munzees that work like Myths and Pouch Creatures based on variant designs of the original Flat Rob. Fancy Flat Robs will bounce to regular Flat Robs and regular Virtuals with a green color credit (listed below), and an additional other type based on the variant. These will bounce every 12 hours or when captured.

There will be three Fancy Flat Rob variants available, but players will only be able to own one variant type. Fancy Flat Robs will cost $25 and they will have the ability to be nudged by the owner. There will be a limited number of each type available. These are not LIVE yet, but they will be available HERE at 12:00 MHQ.

Points for Fancy Flat Robs are as follows:

Deployment: 500 points
Capture: Random amount between 200 – 300 points
CapOn: Random amount between 50 – 100 points

Flat Rob has been known to kick back with his toes in the ocean on more than one occasion. This variant of Fancy Flat Rob bounces to Flat Robs, Green Colored Virtuals and Water Mystery Munzees.

Tux Flat Rob:
Every now and then Flat Rob likes to treat himself to the finer things in life. This variant of Fancy Flat Rob bounces to Flat Robs, Green Colored Virtuals and Jewel Munzees.

Muru Pouch Creature Munzee Details

Get ready to rock and roll this Cyber Munzday!

There will be a limited number of Muru Pouch Creature Munzees available for $20 in the Freeze Tag Online Store Cyber Munzday (Monday, November 26th) at 12:00 MHQ time. We will release waves of Muru at different points of the day, so if you miss the initial launch there will still be more available later. These will be sold on a first come, first served basis, and there is a limit of 1 per account.

Muru:

The Pouch Creatures are based on items from our sister app, WallaBee. These creatures, while similar to Mythological Munzees in many respects, have some different qualities. The Muru Pouch Creature Munzee will bounce on Greenies and Earth Mystery Munzees every 6 hours or when capped.

Don’t forget that after 25 captures the Muru Pouch Creature Munzee will begin to level up!

To level up, a daily capture streak must be attained:

  • Level 1: 0-3 Consecutive Days of Capture
  • Level 2: 4-7 Consecutive Days of Capture
  • Level 3: 8+ Consecutive Days of Capture

Your Level 1 Pouch Creature will need 4 consecutive days of captures for it to evolve to Level 2, this will happen after the first capture on Day 4. Your Level 2 Pouch Creature will need 8 consecutive days of captures for it to evolve to Level 3, this will happen after the first capture on Day 8.

When the streak is broken, the Pouch Creature will revert to Level 1.

By leveling up a Muru Pouch Creature Munzee, the points for the owner, capper, and host owner will increase:

  • Muru (Level 1)
    • Capture: 200 points
    • CapOn: 100 Points
    • CapOn (Host Owner): 50 points

A significant change to the Earth Mystery Munzee has also gone into effect. Earth Mysteries will no longer activate Recycle Munzees. Instead capping an Earth Mystery will scatter Boulder Munzees to Greenies nearby. Similar to Catapult Munzee three Boulders will be hurled to Greenies within a quarter mile radius for 1 hour. This feature is currently live.

The points for Earth Mystery Munzees will stay the same, but the Boulders’ points are as follows:

Boulders:

  • Capture: 40 Points
  • CapOn (Host Owner): 15 Points

For deploying a Muru Pouch Creature Munzee, you will earn a deploy badge:

There are also three badges (nine total) for capturing each level of the Muru Pouch Creature Munzee. Here are the first for each level:

Pouch Creatures can be a little shy, but luckily all three types (Muru, Tuli and Vesi) are attracted to physical Munzee Magnets as well! They will only be attracted as their Level 1 version though, so once they level up they won’t fall for any tricks! You can pick up Magnets in the Freeze Tag Online Store along with an Elemental Munzee Pak (which will also go live on Cyber Munzday) to help you hunt down more Pouch Creatures!

2018 Advent Calendar Details

Cyber Munzday is nearly here! One of our most high profile items for sale is the all new Munzee Advent Calendar. Like we said in the Cyber Munzday preview, we won’t spoil the surprises for each day, but we did want to line out some of the details.

Much like other Advent Calendars, starting December 1st you’ll get one Munzee-themed reward each day leading up to Christmas. Some of these will be virtual or credit munzees, but there are a TON of surprises including access to a special Zee-Ops, limited edition badges, multi-point days, discounts and more.

These prizes will go out at 00:01 MHQ each day. Certain rewards (like ZeeOps and mutli-point days) will start the following day after the gift has been revealed. This is to allow you time to plan for these days.

Advent Calendars have over $60 value just for the products you’ll receive and that doesn’t include the value of badges, multi-point days, etc. So this is a great deal! Advent Calendars will sell for $25 on Cyber Munzday. They will then be removed from the Online Store until the beginning of December when they will cost $40.

The price will then decrease over time, but the gifts will not be retroactive. So if you purchase an Advent Calendar after 00:01 MHQ on December 5th, you will not receive the items for the first five days. The Advent Calendar will no longer be for sale after December 17th. Cyber Munzday 2018 Preview!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Although the American offices will be celebrating Thanksgiving with their families tomorrow, Cyber Munzday will kick off the following Monday.

Our Cyber MunzDay sale will begin at 12:00 PM (Noon) MHQ time on Monday, November 26th and will last until 12:00 PM MHQ time on Tuesday, November 27th. Per usual the Munzee Online Store will be offline between 10:30 and 11:59 MHQ time on Monday in preparation for the sales as well as from 12:01 through 14:00 MHQ time on Tuesday to make changes.

We’ve got quite a few sales, which you can find detailed below. Throughout the rest of this week we’ll be releasing more detailed blog posts on the individual items leading into Cyber Munzday.

2018 Advent Calendar- $25 (Limit One Per Player)

We can’t say this clearly enough: You’re gonna want to get your hands on this!

Muru Pouch Creature- $20 (Limit one per player)

The latest cuddly critter from the Pouch Creature line is the rockin’ roller Muru! As you can imagine these grassy growlers will be attracted to Earth Mystery Munzees, which are also getting a bit of a change on Cyber Munzday. We’ll have more details later regarding the specifics, but per usual there will be a limited number of Muru Pouch Creatures released at various points in the day.

Bowling Ball Munzee- $15 (Sheet of 10)

This all new addition to the gaming line of Munzees (RPS and Prize Wheels) is sure to knock a few pins loose! Again, we’ll have more details soon, but this is Munzee’s take on a bowling mini game. When you capture a Bowling Ball Munzee a new munzee type called “1st Roll” will be scattered nearby. You can either earn a Strike or another munzee called “2nd Roll” will be scattered nearby for a chance to earn a Spare. Bowling Ball Munzees will come in sheets of 10 for $15 ($1.50 each) on Cyber Munzday, but will normally be $25 ($2.50 each). More details regarding points and how it works will be in a separate blog post.

New Myth Variants and Discounted Myth Upgrades- $4 per Myth

We have four all new Myth Variants that will go live on Cyber Munzday! There will be two new variants for both the Leprechaun and the Mermaid at 12:00 MHQ. Although Mermaids are already upgraded, you’ll need to buy a Myth Upgrade for the Leprechaun in order to convert it. If you didn’t Upgrade your Unicorn, now is a great time to do that as well because for Cyber Munzday Myth Upgrades will be discounted from $5 to $4. We’ll have more details about the individual Myth Variants in a separate blog post.

Personal Tags and Christmas Ornaments- Various Pricing 

What do all the good little boys and girls, all around the world, want from Santa? New Munzee personals of course! We have a handful of Cyber Munzday designs, as well as brand new Christmas ornament designs. These metal ornaments will come in a variety of shapes and there will be the option to add a personal code to it.

Shiver Me Timbers- It’s The Siren AlternaMyth!

The water may be good for beating the heat, but things are starting to get a little icy. Beware the screeching of the Siren AlternaMyth Munzee!

As with the other AlternaMyths these Mythological Munzees are deployed on behalf of our HQ staff’s accounts, thus super rare. The Siren AlternaMyths will be deployed at 15:00 MHQ on 7/25.

As the AlternaMyth to the Mermaid Mythological Munzee the Siren is a sea-dwelling creature, but also one that is cold-blooded!  Sirens are attracted to greenies, Water Mystery Munzees and Ice Mystery Munzees.

We’re excited to announce that with the release of the Siren all other AlternaMyths will now be worth 500 capture points. This point change will also occur at 15:00 MHQ on 7/25.

The Siren can be a bit slippery, but you might be able to catch one with a Munzee Magnet! You can find Magnets, Elemental Munzees and more in the online store! 

Capturing a Siren will also count towards the Myth Collector badges so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those ferocious fighters.

Speaking of badges, new achievements for capturing regular Mermaid Mythological Munzees will be available at 15:00 MHQ on 7/25. These badges work like other myth badges and they will be retroactive.

Go Under The Sea With The Mermaid Mythological Munzee!

SURPRISE! The Vesi did a great job of helping us beat the sweltering summer heat, but we need just a little more aquatic assistance from our finned friend the Mermaid Mythological Munzee!

Unlike previous Myth releases, things work a little bit different with this maiden of the sea. A very limited number of Mermaids are available NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store. We mean VERY limited, so you might want to go buy one before reading the rest of this blog…

Well good thing we’ll be releasing more throughout the day! Check out the store at 10:00, 15:00 and 17:00 MHQ for additional waves of Mermaids to be released. Mermaid Mythological Munzees are $25.00 each and each player is limited to one (1) Mermaid Munzee per account. The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership.

So you might be wondering- why the price increase? Well Mermaids have certain powers that other Myths (currently) don’t, making them much more valuable.

As the owner of a Mermaid Munzee you’ll have the ability to “nudge” the creature to a new munzee up to three times a day (MHQ 24 hour day). So say your Mermaid decides to swim to a munzee lost in the Bermuda Triangle? Just give her a nudge and she’ll bounce somewhere else in the world. The ability to nudge is only available for the owner via the webpage for the Mermaid, not available in app. The owner can “nudge” the Mermaid to have it bounce to another munzee ONLY in the first 6 hours at it’s current location.

The Mermaid also has a lot more character than your average Myth, so you’ll be able to rename your Mermaids to whatever you want! The name will still retain the unique number, but feel free to get creative and customize these gilled gals. Please keep in mind our player code of conduct and family friendly environment! 🙂

Like the Hydra, Mermaids are attracted to Greenies and Water Mystery Munzees, as well as physical Jewel Munzees.

The Mermaid will bounce on the following every 12 hours or when capped:

  • Greenies
  • Water Mystery Munzee
  • Diamond
  • Ruby
  • Pink Diamond
  • Topaz
  • Aquamarine

Mermaid Munzees will also be attracted to Magnets, which you can attach to Greenies to increase your odds of finding myths and specials.

Much like the release of Vesi, the Mermaid Munzee signals an increase for all other physical Mythological Munzee points. The Unicorn, Leprechaun, Yeti, Dragon, Faun, Hydra and Cyclops will all be worth 200 points when you cap them! Please note that these point changes are not retroactive, but the new points are currently in effect.

You’ll notice we are not updating the Pegasus (which lands on virtuals) at this time. This is a push to drive more points through the physical game. The Cyclops will also only be worth 200 points if capped on a physical.

Name: The Mermaid

Description: The Mermaid Munzee bounces on Greenies, Water Mystery Munzees, and all physical Jewel Munzees every 12 hours or when capped. Each is numbered and owned by a Munzee player. Only 1 Mermaid Munzee is allowed per account. You will also earn the Mermaid badge for owning a Mermaid Munzee.

Points:

  • Deploy: 250
  • Capture: 200
  • CapOn: 100

There is not currently a traditional line of badges for capturing unique Mermaid Munzees, but these will count toward the Myth Hunter badge line. Stay tuned for a line of badges similar to the other Myth Ranker badges soon.

Get All Mixed Up With The Chimera AlternaMyth

Lions, Dragons and Billy Goats oh my! The final Classical AlternaMyth has launched on to the map and this amalgamation of mythological beings is the leader of the pack! Bow down to the Chimera AlternaMyth Munzee!

As with the other AlternaMyths these Mythological Munzees are deployed on behalf of our HQ staff’s accounts, thus super rare. You’ll get 200 points for capping the Chimera. Owners of the host munzee will also earn double the points of the Chimera’s many-headed cousin, the Hydra.

This may be the AlternaMyth to the Hydra Mythological Munzee, but the Chimera is so much more! This creature is made up of a lion, a goat, a snake and a dragon, with the wing of a Pegasus and the tail of a scorpion for good measure. As such Chimeras are attracted to a wide variety of landing pads.

It’s that time of year again — Cyber MunzDay is here, and we think this is the best one yet!

Let’s get the details out of the way, first. Our Cyber MunzDay sale will begin at 10:00AM MHQ time on Monday, November 27th and will last until 10:00AM MHQ time on Tuesday, November 28th. The Munzee Online Store will be offline between 08:30 and 09:59 MHQ time on Monday in preparation for the sales as well as from 10:01 through 12:00 MHQ time on Tuesday to make changes.

Introducing Myth Collector Badges!

With so many new Mythological Munzees popping up these days, you’d have to be crazy to go chasing after all of those kooky creatures. Luckily our players aren’t afraid of pushing the limits when it comes to capping munzees.

Myth Trapper – Capture 1,000 Mythological Munzees of any type.

So with that mind we’re happy to announce that a new line of badges have been released for capturing Myths of any type! Not for the faint of heart, these badges will tally up every Mythological Munzee you’ve ever captured.

Mythological Munzees:

  • Unicorn
  • Leprechaun
  • Dragon
  • Yeti
  • Faun
  • Hydra
  • Pegasus
  • Rainbow Unicorn
  • Gnome Leprechaun

The badges are retroactive, but you’ll only be able to see the requirements for the next badge once you complete the previous one. Once you earn the first in the set you’ll unlock the requirements for the next badge. All of the badges are live so you can start earning them now.

It won’t be easy to earn these badges, but we know you’ll brave the elements! Remember, you can increase your chances of finding Myths by using Elemental Munzees and Magnets.
